I am the new Administrator at Riveridge and have been doing this for over thirty years. I find the staff to be very caring with many of the nurses being there for a long time. Please come and see us, we are always looking caring staff members and residents to become part of our family. Riveridge is a drama free workplace which is a huge accomplishment. My door is always open, literally, stop in and say hello, I would love to meet you!

My father had to go to Riveridge for rehab. During our first meeting we were assured 100 percent that we would have ZERO out of pocket expenses. Dad has AARP and Medicare, and they assured us that ALL expenses were covered for the first 100 days. He was there just over a month. Now they are billing me $2,856. They said AARP will not cover his stay. We point blank told them he was not going to stay at Riveridge if we had to pay anything. We were ready to take him home, but they assured us everything was covered. I've talked to them 3 times. They still send me bills and are threatening to send us to collections. WE DIDN'T MAKE A MISTAKE, RIVERIDGE DID. THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE. I just called Tammy Uptgraw again, waiting for a reply. She never answers her phone. I will continue to post this on social media platforms until it's resolved. As far as I'm concerned, this is a SCAM. Bait and switch. They do this for a living, they know was Medicare and AARP cover. The service was adequate and the staff nice. BEWARE!!!

If I could give negative stars to this pathetic place I would!! First off.. you walk in. All you smell is Urine. The dementia patients are left in the front room by themselves with no supervision. But anywhoo My Grandma has been in this facility for give or take three weeks now. She is supposed to go to PT every week and they don’t even come and get her.. Every time I or a family member comes to visit my grandmother she is soaked from lack of trips to the restroom and check ups to make sure she is dry or if she even needs to go! I asked my grandmother if they are treating her well when we aren’t here.. she said “honestly, No.. I try and talk to them and they ignore me.. I push my call light and it takes 35-40 minutes for them to come get me” I full on believe that because my sister and I hit her call light for a restroom break and we timed how long it would take and it was 35 minutes. She had already wet herself and they wanna say “well your grandmother is something else” excuse me??! I will be speaking to DHS for elderly neglect at this place and pray that NOBODY brings their mom, dad, grandma or grandpa to this facility. They 100% CANNOT be trusted.

My mother has been at this place for 3 day and so far the number I was given to call and be able to speak with her has gone unanswered and has no voicemail set up to leave a message. I am considering having her transferred to somewhere else that I feel will be more communicative with family members. *** UPDATE *** On the 4th day my mother was rushed to the ER at Lakeland with low blood oxygen, ( so low that her lips were blue) and low blood pressure. After running some tests it was determined that she had fluid on her lungs and had to be put on bipap to assist her breathing. Given what had happened my mother could have died in this facility if the nurse on staff had hesitated to act. I am thankful for the actions of the nurse assigned to my mother for calling 911. At this point I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

I died almost 2 years ago from Dementia. Of course, I didn't have any idea I was losing my mind - I went through all the 7 stages of Dementia at home... my family tried to care for me but I soon needed 24/7 care - I had no illnesses... I was a workaholic very active but started to forget, repeat, and became anxious about everything... I needed a place with 24 hour lockdown... Riveridge was the only place available... At Riveridge I became very difficult I wasn't complacent enough for the facility... I soon started having psychotic episodes... Within 1 1/2 months at Riveridge I was transferred to Bronson for an evaluation... My mind was gone drugs were given to calm me then transferred to another facility because Riveridge didn't want me back... I couldn't open my eyes couldn't walk... I wasn't eating or taking in fluids within 10 days I peacefully passed away... My family had a strained relationship with Riveridge some of my belongings disappeared... I would be wearing other residents clothing, food all over my clothing when they would visit... they would call my family to immediately come because I needed to see my family (I didn't even know my family)... The Administrator & Social Worker were very accusatory toward my family! My family had the facility investigated by the State of Michigan but the facility was found to be considered PERFECT!

I love Riveridge. This is a great place to work at with a wonderful team. My Grandmother was here towards the end of her life and she loved the care she received.

Thank you so much for the luncheon today, and for all the good care you give to my brother. I like knowing that when I am not there, I don't have to worry about his level of care.
