Saying goodbye to your love one is always difficult. As a family, we were at peace knowing our father was going to be home with Jesus. Our time with hospice and the genuine care our father received, was so helpful to all of us caring for him.Our father‘s passing was very comfortable peaceful. He was surrounded by family and loved ones. During our time with hospice, we were so thankful for the team that we had. Our hospice team was professional, punctual and communicated very well with our family. They were consistent and checking in and sending cards. Thank you Amy ‘Lu’, Tina and Chaplain Kathy for showing such grace, compassion, humor and genuine care. Your kindness and sweet conversations were very special for my family to observe… All of you are a gift and blessing to the families you serve. 🙏❤️🇺🇸God bless… The Norris family

Riverview staff has been outstanding in all the areas of health care & support. Our beloved Judy was supported & comforted through all 3 months of Hospice, from the beginning to her end. Even afterwards the outreach program is very impressive, you’re not forgotten They are very helpful & kind through your loss & help figuring out how to close up finances & responsibilities. Even though losing my dad broke my heart, I have high praise for my dads nurse Amy, from River Valley Hospice. I can’t imagine going through such a horrible time without this precious woman. She really helped me through the process and my dad adored her too even under the circumstances.

Barbara from Hospice was the best - she came when I called and helped 'with my husband. I could not have had a better person And Lori Holt was just great to help me with social security and other accounts. Thank you to everyone at River Valley Hospice for there compassion and caring during the short time my husband was on hospice. Mel struggled for years with heart disease and was end stage COPD. When we called on Thursday July 1st, Shawn was our advocate and worked hard to get Mel signed up and Jeff, our nurse, to the house for evaluation. On Friday, Jeff was wonderful with dad and even while guiding him with recommendations, he gave Mel dignity and respect to make his own choices. Jeff tried to fast track getting dad his meds and supplies with the long holiday weekend. On Saturday, we needed support and the 24hr number was my lifeline. Donna was there calling me back because he was in distress. On the holiday she went to extreme to make sure he got his equipment and medications. Frank delivered on the holiday, leaving a birthday party to get Mel what he needed. Because of that, my husband had a peaceful nights sleep for the first time. My husband passed away on Monday July 5th, Julie supported us during the day and Donna came and supported us staying for the time it took and was a great comfort. The hospice team continues to be there for us with the chaplain coming and the guidance on other necessary tasks. I could not have survived this without them.
