So happy I found RISE. A month before my scheduled knee replacement I had a bad ankle sprain in my good leg. Peter’s expert treatment not only healed my ankle, but guided my preparation for my impending TKR. I was so happy with the treatment that I have had Peter guide my recovery from the surgery. He is great at assessing my progress and adjusting my treatment as needed. Over the year’s I’d been to two other PT establishments in Solana Beach. I love the 1:1 treatment model at RISE and won’t go anywhere else now!

Peter is the most hard-working and best physical therapist I have had. In 2020, I had spinal fusion. Since then, I had hip and knee replacement, and I have needed a lot of physical therapy postop all of these surgeries. Peter has taken care of me for over three years. He got me ready for my knee replacement, then treated me postop, later treating me after my hip replacement. I continue to have difficulty with balance and strength, and he has dedicated himself to finding the muscles that need strengthening so that I can be stronger and more stable. Peter is very personable and kind, and I know he just wants me to feel better. I am very grateful for his treatment.

I was referred by my neurologist to RISE Physical Therapy at their Solana Beach location in April of this year for severe leg and back pain. My discomfort was such that I had great difficulty walking and had resorted to using an upright walker for mobility. At RISE, I had the pleasure of meeting Autumn Siverling and have been working with her ever since. She easily demonstrates expertise in muscle physiology and functionality, listens attentively, explains her techniques as we work together, and makes the healing process a fun and creative experience. I had very limited knowledge about nerve and muscle interaction, so had no idea how my leg pain could have appeared so quickly. I found that Autumn is quite an expert. She listened carefully to my symptoms and explored the affected systems and muscle groups, at which point we began the first of a series of movement exercises to pinpoint the origin of my back and referred leg pain. In the process of doing this, I found she also explained carefully to me what was causing the problems, how to strengthen those areas, and the reasons to avoid overdoing stress to those locations. We then developed a set of daily exercises, which I log and which she tracks by a phone App. After several weeks of this regimen, together with her on-going tracking and concentration on problem areas, the original symptoms improved considerably, to the point where I was able to walk on my own again without pain. What a relief! Time and again I’ve found that Autumn demonstrates a real expertise in the theoretical and practical details of muscle physiology and functionality. She adeptly focuses on the problem areas and, with a few detailed questions, can go right to the source of the problem and get to its treatment. She has also educated me in how the different nerves and muscle groups interact; I now know how to better describe to her the minute muscle aches or twinges that allow her to pinpoint the problem areas. Autumn keeps detailed notes and asks for feedback about how I think the work on different areas is progressing, and I’ve now made amazing progress in my leg, back, shoulder and neck areas that I’ve neglected for several decades. And I’ve forgotten about the fun part..! Autumn has an interest in many diverse subjects, and we have fun discussing many topics during rest periods. In addition, the staff at RISE put together a weekly list of topics for discussion, from “what are your favorite and least favorite books?”, to “what is your superpower?” to “in case of a zombie apocalypse, what historical figure would you want here to help?”. These always spark a lively discussion between us all, and helps create an inclusive and healing environment. I highly recommend Autumn as the most proficient and effective physical therapist I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with.

Autumn has been my physical therapist for the past 3 months. She was very patient and asked lots of clarifying questions. She gave me the appropriate exercises for my condition and adjusted them if I felt pain or discomfort. The big bonus for me is that she also sent videos of the exercises I needed to do so I could have them available if I didn't exactly remember how the exercise needed to be done. I would highly recommend Autumn.

Peter helped me through 2 knee replacements in 2023-2024. His intuitive approach was perfect for me and helped me achieve full recovery ahead of schedule in each case. He also found that weakness in my hips and feet contributed to my original knee injuries and he incorporated additional exercises into my recovery program to address that as well. I would highly recommend Peter to anyone recovering from knee or hip replacement or other surgical recovery. He is excellent!!

Ciara has been my physical therapist on and off for a few years for all my various injuries. She has been very helpful, is kind, and great to work with! She is patient and knowledgeable and I love her wit. Highly recommend. 5 stars.

I worked with Ciara at RISE Physical Therapy (Solana Beach) for the past year for my knees, back and hip issues. Ciara is a great Physical Therapist and does an amazing job! She is very knowledgeable, a great listener, fun to talk to and always mixes up my sessions. No PT session is ever the same and she challenges me at every session to do more than I think I am capable of doing. Ciara customizes every session based on how I am doing and always gives recommendations on ways to improve and get better. Because of her sessions, my knees have improved, and I am able to go on much longer walks and I am able to do my day-to-day activities with greater ease. My hip issues have improved dramatically. RISE in Solana Beach is a small PT office but they do a great job in their space to provide an hour of great, personalized PT care. I am fortunate to have found this wonderful office and Ciara close by.
