I suffered from very painful Plantar Fasciitis that would wake me up in the middle of the night and really prevented me from my love of distance running and playing volleyball. Minutes into PT at Rise with Michael Spence I felt reassured and confident that I would be able to get back to running and volleyball. Mike developed a plan that was easy and practical with my lifestyle and available home equipment. With what felt like weeks (actually months) I was not only back to my previous level but better and armed with tools to help prevent future inquires. Highly recommend Rise Pt and Mike. He has great B Horror movie suggestions as well!

I highly recommend Michael, he is very focused on personalizing PT to your goals, and regularly checks in throughout your program to adjust exercises to target areas that need improvement. I went to a different clinic for 10 weeks for hip pain and mobility from FAI before switching to RISE, and Michael was able to give me what felt like double the improvement in half the time.

I have never had hand therapy until I had a knuckle removed from my finger and two pins inserted to fuse the finger, and I had a large cell tumor removed from my wrist on the same hand which happened to be my dominant hand. Ten days after the stitches were removed from my wrist I began hand therapy at RISE Physical Therapy Carmel Valley. Tiffany Davis put on her gloves, added a glob of massaging lotion and gently massaged my finger and wrist while we talked about any pain I was having and how to take care of my wounds. She made a custom finger splint so I would not injure the finger and she made a wrist putty patty, a little larger than my wrist scar, to help the scar heal while I slept. The massaging routine was the first treatment I received at every session and it was very calming. Tiffany had me work (or play!) with putty, tennis balls, picking up little beans, gripping devices - anything that helped strengthen my finger and wrist. The projected two months of therapy ended up being three months because my finger had not fused completely. Tiffany's knowledge, quiet demeanor and gentle touch were calming for me, especially when my finger flared up with an infection. I bought some therapy putty for myself so I can continue my exercises at home. After three months of therapy and being discharged by Tiffany, I finally felt confident about putting on my gardening gloves and grabbing my shears so I could trim the bushes in my yard that had been neglected for so long. To my surprise, I have no finger or wrist pain. A million thanks to Tiffany for a job well done. I will remember her kind treatment and return to RISE if ever necessary. If you need therapy of any sort, try RISE Physical Therapy Carmel Valley - and you just might have a chance to work with Tiffany Davis.

I highly recommend Tiffany. She is amazing; knowledgeable, compassionate, a diligent but encouraging taskmaster, and resourceful in her methodologies. My left hand was severely injured with several broken bones and torn ligaments. My surgeon predicted my recovery would likely take up to 12 months and I am fully functional after five months. I credit this miraculous turnaround to his skill, her PT expertise and my compliance. I will be forever grateful !!

Michael is very professional and offers great drills to help me with the upper back pain, which has been bothering me for months and now it is almost unnoticeable. Highly recommend.

I have only amazing things to say about RISE and specifically my therapist Tiffany Davis. This was my first surgical procedure and I was not sure what to expect. Within a week after finger surgery, I started therapy and was terrified about the potential pain I might experience. I am so thankful to have had Tiffany to help me through it all. She is incredibly knowledgeable and such a sweet person as well. She helped me so much in the early stages when my wound was healing and I was constantly worried about infection. She pushed me to utilize my finger but was super gentle at the same time. The exercises she gave me were great and she made sure I knew how to do them on my own. I came to most appointments concerned about how things were feeling or looking and she was always very reassuring that everything was normal. The space is also extremely large and full of sunlight (compared to other places I've been to before which were so cramped, tiny and not a window in sight). The location is very clean & welcoming and I loved that I got to work with a dedicated and knowledgeable therapist for my entire visit. I highly recommend RISE Carmel Valley and if you get a chance to work with Tiffany you will not be disappointed!!

My hand surgeon order PT treatment at this location, I left at least five messages trying to check the status but never received any response and call back. Don’t know what’s going on ? Is there any front desk staff working with scheduling or answering the phone calls? It’s very frustrating especially you keep getting the message “ your call is very important to us and we will call you back as soon as we can”. Is this a joke or what?

As an avid runner and marathoner, logging high mileage during training cycles takes its toll and often leads to overuse injuries. Betty Tran at Rise has been amazing, pinpointing and methodically addressing various issues with great care and professionalism. She has kept me from getting sidelined during training and makes sure I reach the start line healthy on race day. Love the hour-long session format. For any runners out there looking for a PT that will cater to your needs, look no further than Betty Tran at RISE. Thanks again for helping me score both a PR and BQ time recently at the Tokyo Marathon 2024!
