Worst ever. Don't be fooled by the beautiful buildings. For reference, I am in my 50's and hold a PhD in health and exercise and my wife has been an RN for over 20 years. INEPT employees at this institution from the general practitioners that refuse to properly examine you for a typical illness yet charge for the visit and then elect to refer you to others that delays treatment for weeks. Misdiagnoses are common, if they do perform an actual examination. Clerical/financial department makes errors in coding and billing that cause you to fail to receive health insurance discounts and result in overpayment of hundreds of dollars with only a verbal apology for your losses. If you need an MRI scan, you had better bring a ferrous-free coat since it's housed in a detached, makeshift storage container! Meanwhile, the administration has approved a ridiculous architecturally-designed 10 million dollar addition that adds very little to quality of care that will result in even worse upcharges. I could write pages of content regarding their 'bumbling'. I hope potential patients will strongly consider the importance of their well-being over the convenience factor of this local health system.

The ER here is HORRIBLE. I was admitted after having anaphylaxis to an allergy I just developed and hadn’t identified yet. They were so rude and mean to me. They accused me of being on drugs multiple times. The doctor was completely incompetent. They ran so many unnecessary tests on me. Didn’t even treat me like a human. And, it was my 30th birthday. Happy birthday to me! I would not recommend going here. I would die before coming here again.

I cannot believe that Amanda Lewis is still allowed to work here. She is a horrible practitioner: does not listen, her way or the highway, and is a bully. And, she is not competent to diagnose a hangnail.

Wonderful hospital and clinic i.personally see Debbie Para she is amazing as well as kim woodkie but I veto for Debbie . Even the ER is far more amazing then any other hospital in the SLV

My parents and I have always gotten excellent care in the Rio Grande Hospital and the clinic. Excellent service, care and facilities. Amazingly good for a rural area.
