RIO GRANDE HOSPITAL CLINIC AT SOUTH FORK / Dr. Wiilliam Moeller

Dr Moeller Provided excellent care to my daughter while she was away with her daddy. Hard for a mommy to have sick kiddo far away, but he helped her when she was very sick!

It's a small "clinic" not an ER. I highly recommend Dr. M. He listens, give his advice and as in any big or small medical facility, the choice is yours! There are several good doctors and many NPs and nurses in they valley and people fail to realize, as many as there are, they are understaffed and overwhelmed! Dr. M. Is spread thin as he serves other locations. I see some of the complaints and argue many are not accurate or as typical in today's world, " the world or people didn't cater or meet my selfish needs or Demands" only so much one dr. Can do at a small facility, serving hundreds of patients. Nothing but praise and thanks for they staff and Dr. M's patients and willingness to listen and help and being compassionate all while being over worked, understaffed and again serving hundreds of regular patients but finding time to fit in and serve emergant minor illness patients. Can't help but wonder, those giving bad reviews and complaints, fail to realize they are not perfect and may have off days as do we all!! And matters not where you go, people make mistakes. Think of what people would say about yourself if we could review you?!? Or the staff and doctor could post reviews about you or what really happened and why.

Dr. Moeller is wonderful, and the staff and facility are also excellent. And, you can usually get an appointment fairly quickly.

My wife came home upset. She followed the instruction from Rio Grande Hospital ER saying they called monte vista to get my mother in law medicine and transfer to South Fork Rio Grande Hospital. The front desk was not helpful and kept telling her to call the Pharmacy. Not once she call and clarify. My wife was frustrated and she still kept telling my wife to call herself. She has the phone front of her desk and won’t call for my wife. This is not cool.

I am from out of town, Dr Moeller willingly saw me and treated me for the concern I had. But he also saw two other things that he noticed and gave me good medical attention for those things as well. I was very impressed with Dr Moeller and the clinic at South Fork.

I saw Dr. Moeller in August, October, November and on December 14th. He is off on Mondays so I went to another provider because I had been sick over the weekend. In January I called my pharmacy for a refill and when they sent it to Dr. Moeller, he denied it and said I was no longer his patient. It left me in a bind but the other provider’s nurse helped me out. I will not recommend anyone to see him again.

Lovely facility but they will evidently not treat minor emergencies. Pagosa Medical group is a better option.
