I can honestly say I don’t think I’ve ever had a worse experience at any other doctors office. I made my son an appointment at 9:30 on a Monday morning. We didn’t leave the office until nearly 11:30 and when I came out of our room to ask if they were going to come see him soon I was met with sarcastic looks and they also cut me off in the middle of my sentence. Mind you, my son is 17 months old. He was tired and cranky and sick and I was really hoping for a speedy visit so I could just get him some medicine and get him home. The nurse practitioner, I’m assuming, finally came in and diagnosed him and said they’d call in some medicine to the pharmacy and we were on our way. So already in my opinion not a very pleasant visit. The medicine prescribed was a liquid and my son will not take it so this morning (Tuesday) I called them at 8 a.m. and asked if we could get a different form of the medicine or something ANYTHING so my son could take it and get better. The lady at the front desk told me she wrote my message down and they’d call me back. So I waited and waited and they never called. So at this point I’m concerned for my son bc he is still sick. So I had my fiancé, our sons dad, call them and ask again. The front desk lady told him she would transfer his call to the nurse, it rang twice and hung up. So he called again and was put on hold for 20 minutes only to be told the nurse practitioner that prescribed the medicine wasn’t in so they would have to get in touch with him to ask what they could do about it and they’d call right back. Here it is, an hour later, and still no call. I had high hopes for this place bc I’ve heard great things from people I know personally but sadly I’m very disappointed. So if it works for you that’s great but my experience was not at all what i expected.

I love Revive Medical! When you walk in it is bright and clean. I love there is a well and a sick area that is enclosed. Dr Traylor takes her time with your visit. She listens to your concerns and answers all your questions. If something isn’t working she gives new options. I highly recommend her and the staff!!!

It was difficult when we moved to Haleyville last year and I found myself needing a new doctor! I could not be happier with the choice we made of Dr. Amy Traylor. Her new clinic, Revive Medical Center, is beautiful and set up with efficiency and comfort. I have the utmost confidence in Dr. Traylor and her staff. You will be glad you made the choice - we are!

Unfortunately my partner and I both have had very terrible experiences with Dr. Traylor. I find her protocols/procedures very strange. Here is how it works: You go in to establish care and will most likely see a nurse practitioner as Dr. Traylor herself is hardly ever available and there is always some excuse that she is out of office. The nurse will ask what medications you take, and fill them without even asking if you have records from the past as proof that you’ve been on them and for how long, if you have ever had X-Rays, etc. To me this seems dangerous/reckless given the potential for a patient to simply abuse or misuse whatever medications they request! After that, without even seeing the doctor, Revive will simply refill your medications for 5 months in a row (I think this might not even be legal, I’m not sure) without you ever having to come in for a routine bimonthly check up or to ever even meet the doctor. This week my partner came in finally for a follow up, and was asked to do a drug screen which of course he agreed to. Nothing was in his system (he literally does not even drink, smoke, etc at all) aside from the two prescriptions Dr. Traylor had been prescribing him for so long. After a few days of waiting to pick up his prescriptions that were overdue, someone from the office called him back and said “their were inconsistencies in his sample” and she cut him off completely without even consulting him ONE SINGLE TIME or to explain the “inconsistencies.” She still has refused to explain this and he is still waiting for a call so someone can go over his chart. It should be noted that suddenly cutting off a patient on one of the meds in question can cause seizures and other very serious side effects. My experience was similar last month. I never saw Traylor, and I followed the dosage instructions on my bottle to a tee that the NP prescribed. Without ever seeing me, when I went to refill my medications (I had already paid for 2 months of refills) I was given a call informing me that Traylor will not be sending them and gave no explanation as to why. I came to the office and she told me it’s because this medication is ineffective for my condition. I have been prescribed this medication for years, and now not only is my PCOS pain back, but so are my ovarian cysts. And as a result my performance and attendance at work has greatly suffered. Now I’m worried my partner’s will too. Lastly, I think it’s terrible that she pushes weight loss drugs like Ozempic and those similar to Adderall like candy, but has no respect or regard to the welfare of patients who are in need of help for completely different issues. I’m pretty sure this is some kind of weight loss clinic disguised as a PCP. I have no idea how it has all these positive reviews and I’m wondering if anyone else has had to go through a similar experience like the one we just went through. Do not trust this practice unless you want to waste your money, especially if you are an honest and responsible person who does not abuse their medications. I won’t be surprised if they get shut down for malpractice.

I recently had an appointment at Revive Medical Center. The office is bright and clean. The staff was friendly. Dr. Traylor took her time with my questions and I did not feel rushed. We officially have a new family doctor.
