Had been having a knee issue for over a year. Had gone to my regular doctor who prescribed exercises that didn’t seem to make a difference so I decided to go a different direction. Reached out to Phillip at Return2Play for a consultation and afterwards decided to work with him on a program which was easy to follow along with on the app. Fast forward a few months later with consistent application of the program and I was able to achieve my goal of hiking to the top of half dome with my son.

I had prior shoulder surgery and was continually losing mobility. I’m usually able to work through and resolve my o WM physical issues, but not this one, it just kept getting worse making it harder to exercise or just be physically active. Phillip helped identify the problem work to fix my specific issues and give me the tools to help myself in the future. Now I’m back to exercising and enjoying physical activities without the restrictions or pain.

My son, a high-school sophomore, pulled his hamstring in early-March at the beginning of track season. We heard about Return2Play through our association with MYSA-AJAX and decided see if rehab could salvage his track season. Though he did not rule out a quick recovery, Philip was honest and upfront about the unpredictability of hamstring injury and recovery. (If not for a set-back - coming back to full-speed too soon - and against Philip’s recommendation - he would have been able to make the end of track season) We really appreciated the communication and ease in which we received updated rehab exercises. No upselling or unrealistic expectations. Straight talk and a well thought out series of exercises to get him back on the field for summer football. Would recommend.

After having issues with my right hip after a car accident working out and daily activities would bother me then after doing work with Phil his methods! By the 3rd appointment I was feeling like my old self and he added different exercises to help strengthen my hip along with other issues I didn’t realize I was having! Now working out and other activities are not as painful or annoying!! Highly recommend

I had a rotator cuff injury that occurred in February. I was not getting the attention I needed from Kaiser. I was afraid I was going to need surgery for my rotator cuff, however I came across Phillip on Instagram and gave him a shot in September. Phillip is very thorough and attentive throughout our sessions. My session ended early December and now I am able to comfortably do overhead movements. I do not have any lingering pain as well. I still practice the stretches and movements he has taught me. I highly recommend Phillip for any physical therapy needs!

I went to return2play physical therapy with horrible tennis elbow. Phillip put me on a great regiment and we checked in weekly until my elbow was fully back to normal. While checking in with him weekly we also addressed some Glute and hamstring issues that have been ongoing for years. I’m happy to say that I feel great, and I am living life pain-free! Would not hesitate to recommend Phillip to anyone who wants to stay active and pain free as they grow older.

I was suffering from a work injury (herniated discs) and ran out of physical therapy sessions. I continued the prescribed exercises, but they just weren’t doing it for me. I still had pain and tightness around the area of injury. Return2Play is different from your standard physical therapy offices. Phillip is personable, actually cares about his patients, and takes the time to diagnose the injury to determine the best path for recovery. The exercises require minimal equipment and can be done almost anywhere, so you don’t need the fancy gym machines. Cupping and scraping also helped loosen up my areas of injury and I feel so much better afterwards. I’m still recovering, but I have better range of motion and able to workout more than when I went through the physical therapy provided by worker’s comp. Also, being a first responder, my body has a lot imbalances from the equipment/gear I wear for work. Phillip has also helped me address those issues as well and it has been life altering!

I was experiencing elbow pain going into RTP and thought I needed Tommy John and got my arm feeling better than ever. I always thought that over time the elbow pain would fix itself and it never did, and as I started to work with RTP he finally showed me what to do and get me doing the exercises to get better everyday.
