I have had several children and developed a severe diastasis recti. I was turned down for plastic surgery due to an underlying condition so I decided to try something I'd never considered - pelvic floor physical therapy. Sarah was highly recommended to me by a friend, and I'm so thankful I chose to come see her! I had 6 sessions with her and benefited so much from her help! She is so easy to work with - she made me feel comfortable and explained everything I needed to do clearly. I appreciate her positivity, too. She really believes in what she is doing and gave me hope that I could get better. She teaches the exercises and emails videos so I can watch how to do them again if needed. My diastasis recti - which was deemed "unfixable" by anything other than surgery by multiple doctors - decreased from 4 finger widths to 2 finger widths after just 6 sessions! I have not only noticed positive physical changes including a flatter abdomen, better posture, and increased muscle strength in my abs, but my confidence has improved as well. At my final session Sarah gave me more challenging exercises to continue going forward so that I can keep up the progress I've started. I had a wonderful experience with Sarah and highly recommend her if you've been dealing with a diastasis recti like I have, or even just considering trying pelvic floor physical therapy and are unsure. I was a little nervous about seeing a pelvic therapist but I knew I needed help after having my second child. Booking the appointment was super easy. At the first appointment Sarah explained everything and made me as comfortable as possible. We discussed in detail the problems I had and the goals I wanted to reach. My own private link to videos for each exercise was so helpful and she answered every question I had even in between sessions. Sarah is thoughtful, kind, and respectful while giving you the little push you need to get stronger! I highly recommend Sarah for all of your "peezing", back pain, balance, and diastasis recti concerns!
