In May of 2023 I suffered a stroke. Throughout the process I have learned the key to a complete recovery is having a Neurologic Physical Therapist. When you have a stroke it not only affects your physical abilities, it affects your neurological abilities as well. You must treat both areas in order to achieve a full recovery. After 6 to 7 months of regular Physical Therapy I had plateaued. With just a couple of sessions with Kaylin I have made great progress. Her knowledge and ability is amazing and I have no doubt I will make a complete recovery. I am so thankful to be working with Kaylin and I can't recommend Kaylin and Neurologic Physical Therapy enough. Bill B.

In July 2022, I suffered a significant stroke that left me with extensive right-sided weakness. After my acute hospitalization and a one month stay in a rehabilitation hospital, I was discharged to outpatient physical therapy and occupational therapy. That continued for about three months when I was discharged, having reached certain rehabilitation milestones established by my insurer. Yet, I was far from back to myself and remained committed to working further to return to my pre-stroke functionality. I am so thankful that my last physical therapist suggested that I contact Kaylin Chiolino, a Neurologic Clinical Specialist and owner of Resilience Neurological Physical Therapy and Wellness in the Madison area. I am a physician with a prevention focus and Kaylin's approach was entirely in sync with my goals and training. She is science-based, highly professional, very experienced, and a pleasure to work with. Together we established rehabilitation goals with regular check-ins to monitor progress. She is particularly adept at identifying areas where additional progress can be achieved. After the frustration of having my physical therapy ended by my health plan, it was such a motivation for me to find Kaylin and to work with her as she is helping me to reach the finish line. I highly recommend her. Michael, MD

Kaylin has been a very supportive physical therapy provider. My experience with health care providers of all types(MD, NP, RN, etc) to this point has sometimes been a mix of good and bad, but she has evaluated my condition individually and continuously tries to find ways to tailor things for future improvement. Compared to prior at home PT provided by UW, it has been encouraging to have someone really listen to the physical challenges I have been facing and try to consider specific ways to tackle them. No matter the outcome, it has been a huge positive for a provider to listen and try to tackle things.

What initially interested me in in the Resilience program was the Resilience staffs background in and awareness of Parkinsons disease. I specifically have been looking for a Parkinson’s educated physical therapist. I have been wanting to address my Parkinson disease as quickly as I can, and Resilience offered me that opportunity. Resilience physical therapists are educated in how their work interacts with Parkinsons. My muscles and ligaments are tight, in addition I've had two back surgeries. Resilience addresses both issues, Parkinsons and post operative nerve pain. I have a weekly appointment now and am making significant progress.
