After being qualified for job assistance, since I'm a disabled veteran, they lied to me and then ghosted me. Please go to another DOR. I have had great experiences with DORs in the past. This one is absolutely unprofessional.

Waste of time. It's as if they're intentionally turning people away. My significant other has been in contact for a week or so and this office is interesting. My s/o asked to be appointed towards a leap program individual and she was, but until now Maureen was never certified at all to approve people but lied entirely in our meeting when she said she had the license to approve. During the meeting this Maureen even said they would process my s/o papers for the program, but turns out this person lied again and never did. All while they said they have another individual who is apparently certified, but haven't transferred my s/o to them. My s/o is more than capable to work even with her disabilities, she is human and they're not treating her so; and she's just looking to get a job through the leap program. It shouldn't be this hard or even long.

I had a wonderful experience with the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation Center in Concord, back in the years of 2003 through 2007. I received my bachelor’s degree from UC Davis in 2007, and this wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing support of my DOR counselor at the time, Faye Villanueva. After my initial orientation at DOR in Concord back in 2003, I was assigned to Faye Villanueva for counseling. We went over my previous work experience, and what accommodations I would need for future employment. I took a career and personality profile test, and discovered I really loved careers that required a Sociology degree. I was a student at Diablo Valley College at the time, and I was able to get a stipend for my textbooks and my tuition paid for through the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation; as well as payment for my tuition and a stipend for textbooks when I transferred to UC Davis two years later. This was a game changer for me, since I was student without a lot of financial support at the time. I’m so grateful for the support I received from my DOR counselor Faye Villanueva, as well as the educational support from the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation. 10/10 Stars!

Not worth your time. They take forever to get back to you, if they do at all. Waste of time.

They barley answer my calls when I need them. I'm try to get a job need help with that they don't seem to care enough about it
