Recooperation Physical Therapy

My doctor insisted that I have physical therapy, which I really didn’t want to do. But now that I have finished several weeks at Recooperation Physical Therapy, I have to say that I’ve never had so much fun doing something I really didn’t want to do. Seriously, my physical therapist Courtney is fantastic. She came up with so many interesting challenges to help me reach my goals. And Kari her aide made sure I was doing everything correctly. It’s rewarding to see steady improvements in my flexibility and strength and realize how much better I am. It’s a really great place with a wonderful, amazing staff. They get an A++!

This is an awesome PT group, five stars for sure! From the very beginning, Louisé at the front desk is super sweet and helpful with finding appointments that fit your schedule and she always greets you by name and with a smile when you come in. Gavin is an amazing PT! He is very friendly, knowledgeable and takes a personal interest in your needs and goals. You receive individualized care each and every session with a mix of treatment that is kept challenging as you progress. He is not only concerned with your recovery but how you can incorporate what you learn into your everyday life and overall fitness. Recooperation PT is a true gem in Newbury Park!

I had a Total Knee Replacement in Jan. 2023. My home Pt referred me to Jeff Cooper (owner) who is amazing. At 4 weeks post op I was physically and mentally struggling, I barely could bend my knee past 100 degrees, TKR is a very hard recovery. Jeff spends the entire session with me, he does not hand me off to another assistant, like other facilities do. He is incredibly knowledgeable, encouraging and great at helping you thru recovery. I’m now 13 wks post op and bending 127 unassisted and 137 assisted. I have really progressed and feel a lot is due to Jeff. The office is well run, I’ve never had to wait or has Jeff been late, Louise the office assistant is lovely. Highly, highly recommend.

These folks have SO wonderful to me! A few months ago, I was in horrific sciatic pain that required me to be hospitalized. After they gave me an epidural at the hospital, they gave me 2 choices: surgery or physical therapy. I decided to try PT first! Thank goodness I found these guys! I feel so much better, as well being more limber and flexible! I can now take long walks without pain! It doesn't look like I will need surgery anytime soon...or ever! I'm so grateful to Gavin, Jeff, and the entire crew! They're the best!

My challenge was relatively minor compared to many and this was my first PT experience so have nothing to compare it to. Having said that... it was great working with Gavin. Knowledgeable, caring, and methodical, he armed me with a set of tools and sense of body awareness to apply going forward even after over this episode is fully clear. Also, the staff members I met were very friendly and professional.
