My mom Shirley Taylor 95 years old, has been at the Rancho Mirage Health and Rehab for 1 year. She started out in the skilled nursing section because of a broken Femer that was healing after an operation at Eisenhower. So Physical Therapy was needed at that time. From the moment she arrived the compassion and diligence shown by the staff was incredible. When I had questions they were answered promptly, Changing my mom's diet was challenging at times, but we found a solution together. (My mom has no teeth) Always positive, loving and helpful are key words....besides that their efficiency from cleaning my mom's room to her own personal hygiene is awesome. Since I have no support in my family most have passed on or they live far away, Rancho Mirage Health and Rehabilitation has been life changing Forever Thank You Her daughter Kimberly Morrow 68 years old.

Was extremely pleased with the room, and care of all I was involved with. The people i had contact with were pleasant, professional, and caring. Only negative was the food only so so, but I realize the have to adapt to the variety of in patients individual requirements

I had a care client who was 89 there for rehab after shoulder replacement. It became obvious that within 2 days, he was at risk. He and I discussed it, and I continued to provide an additional layer of care to ensure he would make it home. He was mishandled by an aid and needed an ER visit, and they just let people lay in urine and dirty diapers forever. Bed sores and rashes. Call buttons unanswered. Meds delivered late, and pain meds that were listed "as needed" were lucky they arrived. Seemed to be 1 nurse for 15 or 20 patients. Lots of student nurses and a couple CNAs.

DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE ! 1 star only because I had to so I could write a review. MY FAMILY Is Extremely disappointed and apolled in everything and everyone in this so call Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. My Dad was admitted in mid. September for Physical therapy on his legs, a request per his doctor. He WALKED in and was in GOOD health. He was rushed via Ambulance to Eienhower, He was extremely dehydrated, suffering from malnutrition and severe bed sores on his back side. My Father DIED in October. Due to the lack of care, treatment, and compassion by their Staff.

My husband has been at this facility for one week and I must give them a good review for all the help with a challenging 90 year old man that has numerous issues. They are patient and kind and always there to help. They never mind my questions or interruptions. Great group of nurses and therapists.. thank you to all the staff at Rancho Mirage Rehabilitation Center.

I spent 16 days there and couldn't wait to go home. The facility is severely understaffed and it affects patients care. I couldn't sleep as my neighbor was allowed to blast his TV all night. The rehabilitation was inconsistent, and the facility needs better beds and food. There are some good employees that work there and care about the patients.

Lloyd's first stay in rehab for three weeks in February went well, but his last stay in March did not go well at all. First he was not getting the pain medicine that he needed. Also there was not a good response to the call button. I know this for a fact because I was on the phone with him. One time he had to peddle the wheel chair down to the nurses station to get any attention. Ultimately it took one hour and 50 minutes to get the pain medication he needed. Further he is not incontinent, but he was wetting himself at night because he needed help to get out of bed and was not getting it. I had to remove him AMA because he was not getting the help he needed. I was actually told that the previous day he did not have any physical therapy because he was in too much pain. I know for a fact his pain is easily controlled because he is doing better at home with proper medication. Unfortunately we don't have access physical therapy here in Borrego Springs so it will be more difficult for him to get in better physical shape, but at least I can keep him confortable.
