Rama Pathi, MD

I am writing this in hopes to save someone from going through what I’m going through. I broke my wrist at the end of March. Went to the emergency room at St. Mary’s. The doctor referred me to Dr. Pathi. I saw him the very next day and had surgery the following week Dr. Pathi is a very caring doctor. So initially, I felt very comfortable with him He promised me, in his words “your wrist will be at 100%” after healing from surgery. This could not be further from the truth. I have gone through so much pain both physically and mentally because he did the surgery incorrectly. I am now seeing a surgeon in Newport Beach that specializes in the hand and wrist. He was shocked at how my wrist looks. I had surgery two weeks ago to remove the plate and screws that were put in the wrong place. In approximately six weeks, I will have another surgery to correct my healed fracture. 3 surgeries for a broken wrist that should have required 1! Dr. Pathi wanted to take the plate and screws out, not once mentioning that my wrist wasn’t correct! So if I didn’t advocate on my own behalf, he STILL would have performed surgery on me again , and my wrist would STILL be healed incorrectly. I wish I could post pictures, so you can see what I am talking about. So much time and money wasted that I will never get back. This should never have happened. Please do yourself a favor. If you need to have surgery, please research your surgeon and select one that specializes with what you need. This has been a nightmare for me. Again, by me posting this review, I hope that I can help someone avoid what I have, and am still going through.

staff are rude and the doc is not competent in the work he tries. Have done more surgery with another Dr to correct the surgery Pathi did. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this Dr

Staff is rude & inefficient. If Dr. Pathi does surgery on you, guaranteed you'll have to have a second, maybe a third surgery. Everyone I met while attending physical therapy fir 12 weeks said they had to have a second or third surgery. It's as if he does something while you're in surgery to cause you to have a second surgery. Also look him up from when he was a doctor in New York. It's all bad.

Very disenchanted with office staff. Past ortho sent Medical records and yet they have no idea where they are!! Charge for filling out Physicians statement on long term disability. Frustrating as all get out. I will be personally bringing my records in!

This office is the most unprofessional medical office I have ever had to deal with. There staff are rude and give incorrect information. We have been waiting on them to sign my husband's disability paperwork for over a month now and it is still not ready. They dont do electronic signature. My husband calls repeatedly and does not receive return calls. The physical therapy side seems to be the only ones eho know what is going on. If you need an orthopedic office go anywhere but here!

He has done 5 surgeries on different body parts for me. I trust him. His PA Jonathan is very capable. I like how he explains my questions.

The staff is rude and tell you anything to get you off the phone.

Recently had surgery done by Dr chow he was awesome and his staff was very helpful an courtesy. Pam Neiman
