The staff at this facility is very caring, I am truly amazed at Becky The Head Director of Nurses.. Very caring and Professional in how she not just listens, but follows through, down to the smallest detail in what has been needed and needs for my husband's care. I had no idea how demanding the Nurses job's were, nor the CNA's job's? What I have experienced is Hard working people in this field that truly Care for these residence. Thank you for giving it all, even though I know you all have families of your own, you make me and my husband feel like we matterš„°š„°

Quartz Hill was recommended to me by an acquaintance, and Iām so glad I found them. My mother is 100 years old and she has fallen several times. Her memory is not as clear as it used to be. After she was released from the hospital she was transferred to Quartz Hill. The facility is clean and the the staff is very caring. Great physical therapists. I loved the assisted dining room. The staff helped my mom with eating by cutting her sandwich in two, or telling her what her meal was. The encouraged her to drink water and juice. They engaged her in conversation which is so important. When my mom used the call button she never had to wait very long. The Aids came and helped her. They smiled, they talked with her and made sure she comfortable. The aides made sure her teeth were brushed, and they brushed her hair. They made my mom feel like āshe was a REAL personā, not an old lady. They made her laugh and she would joke with them. Self esteem is important and it helps with recovery. The meeting with the various department heads was very informative and helpful. They told me their plan for my mom. And I expressed my concerns to them. I really appreciated that meeting. Thank you for the great care.

Like a previous reviewer, I'd never set foot in a skilled nursing facility before, but recently it became necessary to admit a close relative to such a facility. A doctor at Mercy Medical Center was able to get my family member into Quartz Hill Post Acute. I thought it would be a rather grim place, but was pleasantly surprised to find how clean it was and how the lobby and main hallways were simply but nicely decorated and well lit. There's an attractive courtyard in the center of the complex which is open for all the residents to use. During the first few days, I had many questions about what services were provided, and I also needed to discuss my family member's special needs, which were complex. The social services office personnel were well-informed and were able to come up with answers that satisfied me. A big plus was the in-house physical therapy department, whose staff started working diligently with my family member to try to improve her situation. In general, the nurses and CNAs on duty around the clock appear efficient at the least, and some are more than efficient, crossing over into genuine concern and sympathy for my family member. Not everything is perfect, but, compared to what I was expecting, this has been positive experience, and I would not hesitate for my family member to come here again.

When my father required emergency surgery my family and I knew he was in for a challenging recovery. We unanimously chose Quartz Hill over other post acute care facilities in the area due to site administrators and staff we knew professionally and personally - and we were not disappointed. With the exceptional care and perseverance of the nurses, occupational and physical therapists' he made a strong recovery and has since returned home. The only grousing I heard from him was that he felt he was given too much food! I highly recommend Quartz Hill Post Acute.

AS A patient! I can't wait to get out of here! The beds are really uncomfortable. I have allergies to food such as egg chicken, all foul. They have replaced that with grilled cheese sandwiches every night x4. The dietary has been told several times, and the nursing staff has tried to straighten it out! Today I was served the same piece of ham I got yesterday. I was told we would have a selection. How" we don't get a menu! I truly feel sorry for those who can't speak up or have to stay. I can go home! I truly feel for the staff!

I am currently a patient at QHPA for several weeks. I experienced a traumatic fall in my home that resulted in several broken bones. After a stint in accute care I was referred here by a friend who is a physical therapist. I've been here for several weeks and my recovery and care have been better than I could have ever expected. Having never experienced a traumatic injury before, I was very nervous to be transferred from acute care. The process has been smooth. Just like my physical therapist friend. I would recommend QHPA without a second thought.

This was one of the worst experiences in my life. My dad was there for a few weeks after a stroke. It was dirty, the staff was far less than attentive or helpful, and my dad was simply not being cared for. Poor guy had just had a stroke, couldn't walk, talk, or eat at the time, and he was left for hours in soaking wet bedding, nurse call button not answered, laying on the floor because no one responded to his calls...a terrible, awful experience. We moved him to another facility and were a million times happier.
