After many attempts to resolve my chronic hamstring pain I turned to Dr. Roland Jenkins at Pro+Kinetix. I was pleased that a plan was developed to get to the root of the issue, something that was lacking in my other treatments. Working with Roland was fantastic. He listened to my needs as an aging athlete and kept me hopeful that I could continue to ride my horses well into the future. He created a plan that progressively re-built the proper strength to get the right muscles working again. Each session Roland demonstrated new exercises and then watched me perform them. In addition, my personalized exercise program was logged onto their website where I could review the exercises. I found this helpful when I couldn’t quite remember the order of movement. I left each session with a number of exercises to do before our next meeting. Roland is a joy to work with. Smart. Funny. A listener. He thoroughly knows his stuff and has a plan for everything. Really! You will get better with him. He’s the only PT I will now see.

Pro+Kinetix and Dr. Lydia have been amazing for my foot and leg pain. Dr. Lydia really takes the time to understand the root cause of what's causing pain and has a variety of techniques to address underlying issues. After several sessions once the pain had improved we pivoted to focus on strength training to maintain and also prevent further issues. Definitely feel much better and able to get back to outdoor hobbies after a few weeks. Highly recommend.

Lydia Lee is a fantastic physical therapist. I came in eight months after a car accident, which left my shoulder and lower back in constant pain and unable to hike or weight lift like I did in the past. Prior experiences with physical therapy had me “graduate” before I was fully healed, leaving me with skepticism about how much it would help. Despite that, I signed up to Pro+Kinetix due to a glowing recommendation from East Bay Sports Massage. Lydia immediately dispelled this skepticism. In the first session, she identified what caused my constant pain and suggested using lacrosse balls to ease the tension. This immediately helped me get relief from the constant pain. In the following sessions, we gradually introduced different physical therapy exercises that targeted the muscles that atrophied due to the accident and added balance exercises to ensure that I don’t feel pain or fatigue from walking and standing. By the time we were wrapping up my 10-visit package, we were going over my weightlifting form since I was starting to hit personal records again and she was teaching me exercises that would help me meet my lifting goals from before the accident! I was able to hike without aggravating my lower back and my balance has improved. Two months with Lydia helped me recover from very long-lasting aches and pains. I would highly recommend seeing her if you need help from an injury or want to improve your weightlifting.

After visiting with multiple physical therapists in Oakland, I finally was able to get the pain relief and therapy program I needed to get me walking again. Dr. Lydia is everything and I SO appreciate all she has helped me heal through. Not only is my hip/knee fully healed, I learned strategies for exercising my particular body that will keep me in better alignment moving forward. I can't recommend Pro+Kinetix enough!

Dr. Dylan helped me recover and heal from a bad knee sprain. When I began PT at Pro+Kinetix, I had constant knee pain and was concerned I may need surgery. Over the course of a few months, I'm now fully healed and able to resume exercise and jogging without any pain. Dr. Dylan is extremely knowledgeable, and helped me develop a detailed plan that I could work on in between sessions to regain my range of motion and strength. Would highly recommend Pro+Kinetix.

I'm a tennis player in my mid 30s that had a rotator cuff injury while playing. For about a year I ignored the pain as best I could before eventually having enough and started to look into PT. I didn't have the best experience with my previous PT clinic, so I was more diligent in researching one that seemed different. Fortunately the search was short as Pro+Kinetix Physical Therapy & Performance immediately jumped out of the many clinics available. I was paired with Dr. Dylan Kumar as soon as I made the call to become a patient/client. Over the 10 one hour sessions he was with me every step of the way in person at the facility with no exception as he guided my progress with curated programs. With my previous PT clinic, there were not enough physicians to give patients individual attention during the busier hours which led to being cared by four different physicians over six weeks. At Pro+Kinetic every patient is guaranteed 1 on 1 care with the same physician if they so choose from start to finish Even after the first couple of sessions I saw results almost immediately and by the time the 10th session ended I definitely felt Dr. Dylan Kumar gave me the knowledge and know how to keep strengthening to make sure the rotator cuff doesn't become a problem again. Would recommend to anyone looking to improve their health and will personally request Dr. Dylan Kumar again if another part of the body breaks down.

Highly recommend Dr. Dylan Kumar and Pro-Kinetix! Dylan clearly had a deep well of knowledge on the subject — he was quickly able to adapt my exercises to accommodate concerns I had. He was also great at explaining his reasoning behind each exercise so I had better insight into my own recovery. I also love that sessions are held in a working gym. This made it easier to work my recovery exercises into typical gym routine and ultimately reduced risk of re-injury.

Before coming to Pro+Kinetix, I had been going to a different business to address sciatica I’ve had since January. I was having trouble sitting and walking without significant pain and just generally being mobile. While that first experience helped me build a consistent routine, I found it deeply frustrating. Every session I was passed off to an intern who didn't have any kind of assessment or grounding in what I was experiencing. My questions about the pace of my progress were often met with uncertainty and lack of clarity. After about 3 months, they recommended I go back to my doctor to explore alternative forms of pain relief like shots or even surgery, which I found really disheartening. I am very grateful to have found Pro+Kinetix and have the opportunity to work with Dr. Lydia, who has been very helpful in helping me understand my pain and provide exercises and steps I can take to relieve it. I’ve experienced her to be kind, thorough and detailed in her approach. At each session, we evaluate my range of motion and pain level to check my progress. We explore each exercise to check for form and where in the movement my pain can show up, and then she’ll offer some modification or practice to help me address it. Since starting with her in April, my pain has decreased significantly and I am back to enjoying things like long hike, getting in the gym, biking and yoga!
