With ProFlex, I got my life back. After knee surgery, I couldn't walk or put weight on it for a while. I was anxious to start physical therapy because I didn't see how my situation could improve. My first day there, I could barely bend my knee or slide it across the board. Towards the end of my physical therapy weeks later, I was able to do dead lifts, lunges, 1 leg squats and run. I have my life back, something that I truly thought I would never have. Now I can keep up with my toddler, I take pilates, go on long walks, etc. I still do stretches and exercises I learned while at ProFlex at home too. I highly recommend anyone to go there. They are the BEST!

I had an old injury to my knee that flared up to the point where it actually would not hold my weight when I was going down steps. The pain was excruciating. I talked to my doc and she suggested physical therapy. I was ready - I knew physical therapy would help, but wasn't sure how much. So I signed up for Proflex. They started by taping me up, and working the muscles around my knee. Ok, sounded good. Then I was surprised in a couple of weeks the pain was actually getting better. By the end of my time at Proflex, I really hadn't noticed it, but the exercises that were building the muscles and moving my knee back into the correct position, the pain was essentially gone. I literally had no problem going down stairs anymore. To be honest, I was pretty surprised how effective this was. But I am really grateful. This was a great experience and I will not underestimate how effective the time spent at good physical therapy can be. These folks are very good. I would totally recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

I had a stroke in mid-Dec '21. As a result I wasn't able to walk straight without extreme leaning to my right side. I had to use a walker or be assisted in other ways to keep from falling down and wasn't able to drive or do almost anything for myself. After explaining to staff at Proflex, they were able to get me in quickly for an initial evaluation and set up a PT schedule for me. My physical therapists were Vicky and Lauren. They are both excellent, have good attitudes, are able to address any questions and "know their stuff." I highly recommend Proflex for anyone who needs physical therapy in the St. Mary's County, MD area. If you follow the mandate set by them, you'll see great improvements!

After spending almost 3 months in pain (hoping my sciatica would go away) and not wanting to take meds, my doctor suggested PT. Upon my first visit, I was treated respectfully and in a professional manner. Bonnie and Shannon taught me some exercises, Bonnie suggested changing my car seat lumbar support, Shannon suggested some changes to my sleeping position, and together, they gave me increasing stretching and strength-building exercises designed to relieve the pain. It worked!! I finished my treatment a month early thanks to them!

Proxflex physical therapists have been helping me so much! I has neck/upper back pain for over a year and i tried chiropractors, osteopath doctors, acupuncture when the orthopedist referred me to PT. I see Tracey and Aaron 2 times a week and between dry needling, exercises that i can redo at home, and massages, I can now move my neck without pain! The receptionists are professional and easy to talk to when you want to change appointments. I highly recommend Proflex !

I’ve been to a couple Proflex locations in Southern Maryland for almost 4 months since my ACL and meniscus surgery, and my experience at the Lexington Park branch has been nothing short of exceptional. This particular location felt more patient-focused. My PTA, Tracey, has been supportive and patient with me as I’ve been trying to get back to pre-injury condition. She always has a positive attitude and I respect her opinion whenever I ask about exercise form, workouts, etc. She and the other PTs at this location genuinely care about their patients and their progression. The location itself is very clean and the therapists are not overbooked, so patients get more one-on-one time with the therapists than other places. The last thing that can’t be overlooked are the admin at the front desk. Zoe and Shavondra have been really accommodating and flexible with booking appointments around my busy schedule. I cant say enough about Proflex and their employees. It’s been a good experience so far. Overall, I would highly recommend this location if you’re looking for Physical Therapy in the Southern Maryland area.

Very professional yet informal environment. And Aaron Bauer, in particular, has been a “miracle worker” for me. As an aging athlete, I was having real difficulty in day-to-day activities, despite a disciplined exercise and stretching regiment. To help, Aaron introduced me to a new therapy modality termed “dry needling”. While not a instant cure, my mobility has significantly improved, allowing me to return to many of the activities I feared could never do again.
