ProActive Physical Therapy

I had back surgery in December of 2023. I started doing physical therapy at ProActive once cleared by the surgeon to do so. I had done therapy at the clinic prior to the surgery, which helped me tremendously cope with the pain and helped me be more prepared for the surgery. The staff at ProActive, from the admin folks at the front desk, to the techs and the therapists, make it a pure joy to go for treatment. I always look forward to my next appointment because I know I'll be greeted by smiling faces and will receive excellent care designed specifically for my body. I am so much stronger where I need to be for my back to continue to improve. My surgeon is extremely happy with the progress I have made and I am extremely happy with ProActive and their wonderful people for making this possible.

About a month ago I finished my total knee therapy sessions. This was the second time I’ve completed PT with Proactive (I had a femur break last fall. ) They did an excellent job with getting me back to normal. Brent and his staff are very professional and really understand what a patient is going through. When I need PT again Proactive on Broadway & Camino Seco will be the only place I go.

I have loved Proactive Physical Therapy’s East location since it opened. They have treated my whole family and I am so grateful! My husband treated for 2 bulging discs in his back and went back to playing professional baseball, my daughter and my son both go to Proactive and look forward to every appointment and love the staff and the fun atmosphere!

I’ve had a great experience at this clinic. Brent Marr has done wonders for my foot and ankle. Great equipment for recovery at the office including the anti-gravity treadmill that feels like you’re walking on the moon. Also, they gave me good exercises to take home to continue my treatment.

Loved it here! I had Rhabdomyolysis of my calf after a hard workout with caused me to have the inability to place my heel on the ground due to significant soreness and stiffness. The PTs there took their time and did not only exercise with me but hands on deep tissue work to release the calf. Proactive got me back to walking, running and climbing Mount Lemmon on my bike again. My appreciation and gratitude to the team there from the front desk to the therapists and staff!

I would never recommend this place. I made an appointment with on Friday, they had all of my insurance information. I asked do you take my insurance? They said yes. I get to my appointment today and was told they do not take my insurance and they got notified on Friday that they didn’t. It would have been nice to get a call saying they don’t take my insurance. Better train your people to know what insurances you do and don’t take. It makes no sense to be told 2 different things. Don’t waste your time.

Proactive physical therapy is the place to go for PT in Tucson. I hurt my foot and ankle playing basketball and they got me back on the court. The staff was very knowledgeable and provided great, personalized care.
