I am finishing my second month of PT for ACL reconstruction and a meniscal tear repair from skiing of course. At first I just needed to relieve the pains, and PT was perfect at targeting and relieving all the aches. Of course I was so appreciative of feeling better that I just wanted to bike and run, but PT staff gently redirected my energy and helped me understand the slow turtle (patience and good adherence to exercise prescription) gets me to my goals slowly but painlessly and right on track. The excellent knowledgeable staff are one of a kind with their rigorous stretches and massages but always smiling. Rehab so far is textbook perfect and right on track with my own and the surgeons goals. Other great qualities included punctuality, flexibility w scheduling, well equipped facilities, easy parking, easy communication and an awesome gym to use!

Because there was so many great reviews online, and it was close to my work, I was excited to begin my therapy at ProActive. The first two assessment sessions were great. But Unfortunately in my recent visit I was very disappointed . I got the impression that there was no progress check from the previous visit to the current one. In addition my questions regarding newly appeared symptoms were disregarded. I go to a professional to regain mobility and heal, but with this type of approach and communication I can’t see being a positive outcome. Given that experience was not great for me so I’m canceling all of my future sessions.

I've been using this PT group for past 6 months. Everyone is so engaging and courteous. Both my therapist Derriel & Allysa have been helpful in rehabilitating my neck and leg due to my car accident. All the helper and aids from Hilary, Erin, Luis are so personable and always make you feel at home. This place truly makes you feel "Joy "...in Hawaiian this would be called Ko Olina - Place of Joy. After all my treatments I feel revived and better and that I'm healing well....Thank you ProActive PT Team - Carmel Valley dr.curtis.chan

Thanks Donovan, Hunter and team! You showed me great ways to improve the function of my arm after surgery and spending time with you was always enjoyable and upbeat. Arm massages helped a great deal. I looked forward to my PT and squid time! Wishing you all the best always! Michele

I have an appointment with them. I was referred to them first of all they never answer their phone second, they give you the wrong address third you got there in time so you had to be there earlier so they can accept you. They don’t not open and they’re inside this nasty club with nasty people And you can even go to the restroom. This place is so disgusting. I don’t even know why people go there unless they are nasty like them but $500 a month to pay for this nastiness it is unbelievable. No wonder why I didn’t sign up.

Well this review is only about 2-3 years old, but it needed to be made. ProActive was recommended to me by the doctor who performed my ankle surgery, and I'm incredibly grateful for that recommendation. My entire experience with ProActive was a positive one. Donovan and his team were (and still are) amazing! PT is never easy, is often painful, but I looked forward to coming to ProActive every session (even the difficult and creative exercises Alliena had waiting for me that I never thought I could do). The Carmel Valley location has its challenges as a smaller office in a larger complex, but the extra walking from the crowded parking lot only helped my recovery anyway. The team of therapists there and the work they did to help me made it all worth it. Donovan, Alliena, Yvonne, Nicole, Jennifer, and anyone else I may have forgotten in the 1-2 years since my last session, you're all awesome. Donovan's expertise can not be understated, he was constantly making adjustments during my recovery based on either feedback from me or just observation, or working around the challenges of insurance-based health care that often limits the care that we need and providers want to give. Everyone's injury and recovery is unique, but I truly believe that anyone who goes to ProActive for physical therapy will be rewarded with a positive experience. The photo I've added was taken May of this year as I successfully got back on a bicycle for the first time since my surgery in 2019 and completed the May Bike Challenge! Thanks ProActive team, you made this happen!
