PRN Physical Therapy - La Mesa

Kim is an exceptional physical therapist who helped me with my Achilles tendon and plantar fasciitis issues. From our first session, she demonstrated genuine care by actively listening to my concerns and thoroughly answering all my questions. She took the time to show me proper techniques and exercises, making sure I understood how each movement contributed to recovery. Her passion for physical therapy and dedication to her profession shines through. It's refreshing to work with a professional who is both highly skilled and genuinely enthusiastic about helping her patients improve.

DO NOT GO HERE! I have been fighting for weeks over a bill that I was charged one month after my session. I went ONE time and was charged $84 “after insurance” for the one visit but that was cheaper than the $150 they told me it would be without using insurance so I decided to go with the insurance option. One month later I receive a bill for an additional $85.56 (now totaling $169.56) for the ONE session which is more than if I had just paid without insurance. I have talked to billing and they weren’t able to provide answers because it’s already been processed through insurance and clearly the location incorrectly quoted me even though I gave them ALL of my insurance info prior to my appointment so I could understand how much it was going to cost before agreeing. Billing recommended that I call the La Mesa location to see if they could provide more insight and help with these unexpected additional fees. I talked to someone at the front desk who was rude and had no sympathy for my situation and stated that providing estimates is a “courtesy” they provide but it’s my responsibility to understand how much I am going to be charged. I had NO idea how much they were going to be charging my insurance for my ONE appointment ($427 btw) which means I have NO idea how much I am going to owe because it’s based on an overall percentage. According to the front desk I am responsible for 20% of the bill (if my math is correct, that’s $85.40) but I already paid $84 initially. So now I’m paying closer to 40% of the bill???? What? So yes, I am trusting that they would have been able to provide a pretty accurate estimate, considering this is a service they provide and that I wouldn’t be receiving a bill in the mail for more than DOUBLE my initial payment. Feeling completely scammed by this location and their lack of communication about how much appointments are going to cost, especially when I tried to do all of my research to get accurate answers. Glad I never rescheduled and will never recommend this place to anyone.

I am older (68), so I have had the good fortune of being referred to physical therapy quite a few times. This last at PRN La Mesa has clearly been the best! Filled with people who know what they’re doing, led by Seth who is excellent! Funny because I had been here before and wasn’t impressed. But new owner/manager and staff apparently makes all the difference. I’ve had an acute episode and have now seen multiple doctors. I swear Seth at PRN La Mesa knows more than the docs. Seth is fabulous, he won’t and doesn’t give up on making you and your body feel better. His staff are great as well. Sarah is a doll and Kim and Sam very good. Others as well I just can’t remember their names. If you need PT - try this place. Very hands on and I don’t think they’ll let you or your body down.

PRN Physical Therapy, La Mesa, is a place with professional PTs, who know their job. Communicative, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful. They take their time to answer your questions, to listen to what you have to say, they care about your condition and the reasons you are there for. I would recommend this place to anyone who want to be in an atmosphere where you feel you are healing! - In addition, I have to acknowledge Kimberly Santos for her excellent work she did on my lower back, that helped me a lot.

I love PRN Physical Therapy! They really care about their patients! The therapists are kind, caring, and skilled. They are very knowledgeable and great at communicating why the exercises help the patient. Welcoming receptionists, easy parking, and large workout rooms! I highly recommend PRN!

I am writing to share my great appreciation for the service I received at PRN clinic, La Mesa. Everyone was quite welcoming and efficient. I am especially impressed with the knowledge, expertise and manner of my hand therapist, Kim Vonk. Kim has been my therapist since September 19th of this year. I could tell from the first time I met her that she was highly experienced and quite detailed in her analysis of my condition. Not only is she efficient, but she has a way of putting people at ease. I felt comfortable and safe in her hands. She made me feel as if I could get through my pain and anxiety over the loss of the use of my hand with her help and guidance. Even though we have done almost all of our sessions virtually, Kim has always been clear, honest and straightforward about the work that I need to do to get the full use of my hand back. Her positive attitude and encouraging manner inspired me to do the exercises and stretches I was given every day. As a result, I have made great progress, with almost full usage in just 4 months! After my surgery, I was despondent and disheartened that my recovery would be so difficult and lengthy. My surgeon was not forthcoming about how challenging it would be. I could never have gotten through it as well as I did if it wasn’t for Kim. I will be forever grateful to her.

My experience at PRN La Mesa surpassed my expectations when I started the process a year ago. Two total knee replacements done exactly 90 days apart, PT before, during and after through the second surgery. The staff was outstanding from start to finish. Very knowledgeable, personally engaging and extremely professional in all aspects of my rehab.I could not have had a better experience, thank you my friends at PRN🙏🏻
