It’s a bit freaky how well Dr Hellwig understands the body and where pain is coming from vs what is causing the pain. I had a foot issue and was worried it was a pinched nerve. Turns out it’s localized to my actual foot (a relief). Got a full work up, diagnosis and treatment in one session. Will be happy to go back when needed for any other issues.

There are millions of physical therapists, I’ve seen dozens. There are many thousands who are movement specialists, I’ve seen many. There are very few who truly understand the entire system, how complex and he body’s response is to trauma and injury. Each time I go into see Megan I am blown away at how she pinpoint something completely different than I thought was the issue and how there’s immediate relief even after one session. Her follow up exercise suggestions with video are extremely helpful. We all know it’s tough to implement a treatment protocol. Her assessment, treatment, protocol, prognosis, and follow up steps are most helpful. I have experienced in my more than 25 years and working with physical therapists. I could not recommend working with her more highly and appreciate her insights and recommendations immensely.

Meghan was wonderful to work with! I was suffering from a hip & knee issue last year. I heard about Meghan and her ability to help mobility, so gave her a try... I soon got better after our sessions! She also gave me techniques I could do at home via video to further support my mobility. I’m grateful I found Meghan🙏 Angelique

I broke both of my heels and Dr. Meghan Helwig helped me to recover from this injury and get back to full speed in life and in the gym. She’s also helped me to learn to breathe into and support my midsection enabling me to perform better in the gym and stay safe in day to day life outside the gym. She is incredibly thorough in her approach and teaches as she treats the patient. I’m thankful to have her as my PT.

I have seen several PT's over the years for various injuries resulting from a reasonably active lifestyle. For the most part I have been disappointed with the results of their therapy. They could relieve pain on a temporay basis, but it would always return exactly the same asit had been. When my strength trainer recommended I see a PT for chronic shoulder and hip/knee issues I was reluctant. However the recommendation was specifically pointed towards the Clinical Athlete network. I have a great deal of respect for my strength trainer so I went ahead and booked an appointment with the nearest Clinical Athlete PT; Meghan Helwig. I was very impressed right from the start: Meghan is a former Div 1 Field Hockey athlete and now competes in Ironman/Triathalon. Her knowledge of human physiology and how it relates to injury/chronic pain is exceptional. Through kinesiology and other hands-on diagnosis she zeros in on not just the pain but the root cause of the pain. This is where PT in the past have been so disappointing; they simply treated the pain without really identifying the underlying cause. So while they could alleviate the pain in the short run, it always came back. Meghan is different: she is always working to identify the root cause of the pain/discomfort and then prescribe a regimen of movements and physical treatments that will resolve the cause of the pain, not just the pain itself. Meghan is the first really effective PT I have experienced and I can recommend her without hesitation.
