I had a knee issue that I had seen other doctors for and they only ever offered physical therapy. Dr Powell helped, which required surgery, but my knee is back to 100%. He was very good. I had very little pain after the procedure. He was polite and all of his staff were just as kind. I would definitely go back to see Dr. Powell.

I put off going to see about my knee pain/catch for a year or more. I went to Dr Mark Powell, he advised a mri to get to the bottom of my problem. He seen I needed arthroscopy followed by 6 weeks of therapy. I highly recommend him for as an orthopedic surgeon.

I was referred to Dr. Powell for pain in my right achilles tendon while walking. After an MRI of both lower legs Dr. Powell discovered three small irregular abnormalities in my right leg achilles tendon. These abnormalities were identified as tares that could be healed by surgery or by physical therapy and immobilizing the tendon by use of a splint more commonly referred to as a below the knee boot. Dr. Powell prescribed a below the knee boot/splint to be worn 6-8 eight hours per day along with physical therapy twice a week. Wearing the boot allows the tares in the tendon to "scar in" which provides the same healing as surgery with stitches to the torn area. Dr. Powell advised that surgery would require a much longer and inconvenient healing period with an above the knee boot to be worn at all times while awake during the day. I followed Dr Powell's prescribed regiment of "scaring in" the injured areas of the tendon, and after approximately three months of this treatment I was happy to discover that I can now walk several miles at a time without any pain to my achilles tendon. Dr. Powell and his friendly staff have shown me the most professional medical treatment with the resulting outcome of total pain relief and the ability to once again be able to walk three miles at a time with my wife. I would recommend Dr. Powell for anyone who is suffering with the same disability that I once had!

Dr. Powell was my second opinion on my shoulder surgery. My first option was really more than i thought i needed and it turned out I was right. I had no pain out of surgery and my shoulder is just like new, much thanks to Dr. Powell and his staff and a big thank you to Powell physical therapy also for getting my shoulders strength back. I highly recommend Powell Orthopedics!!!!!

I am 52 years old and I had rotator cuff surgery. Dr. Powell and his staff have provide conscientious care for me leading up to, during and following my shoulder surgery. Both Dr. Powell and his nursing staff communicated clearly the issues, options and expectations related to my surgery and post surgery recovery/rehab. I am now 7 & 1/2 weeks past my surgery. My healing progress has been right on track and I am making strength and range of motion progress weekly with the Therapy session.

Dr. Powell and his staff are excellent. They take the time to explain everything and go over your options. Powell Orthopedics has taken great care of our family and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Exceptional client service! I was scheduled for an out-of-town business trip the day I got up unable to put weight on my knee. Not knowing if I had an injury or continuing arthritic knee pain/issues, I call the office to request an appointment -- fully expecting it to be impossible to get in. Surprisingly, they worked me in that morning!
