Port of Dutch Harbor

This Aleutian Island is very unique. A lot of historical events had happened on this island that is worth to know. Now, it is a town of fishing industry. As a result, a lot of jobs are always available. However, everyone needs to apply on line only. Also, this is the place where a documentary on Discovery channel was filmed-Deadliest Catch. One of the boats was FV Northwestern. This boat was the only one that was participating in all 16 seasons of the documentary. Furthermore, this island has a very large population of Bold Eagles. Finally, a Russian Orthodox Cathedral is there, it is the oldest in America.

It was nice seeing the northwestern boat there, I used to watch the deadliest catch, I hope I get to meet the captains and the crew some day

Scenic views and the bay are great places for whale watching

Great little stop for being out at sea for 30 days. I saw a bunch of the ships from the deadliest catch here.
