My dad came to Pleasant Hill Health and Rehab in 2017, when he broke his hip. Mom had both hips replaced previous to this, so they were both admitted to this facility that year. They were able to stay with one another, in the same room. Dad was thrilled about this. Being the oldest child in the family, I was involved with a lot of their needs, so I visited them quite often, to the point that the staff teased me that I might as well apply and work here! I applied and have been working here a few years now. I feel like part of a big family here! I love the residents! It is a lot of hard work that we do, but we all work together as a team, to accomplish the many needs of this home. And it is so worth it, to me, to hear the residents call out to me, hello, (in the mornings) or goodbye, (in the evenings)...or say I love you, to me. It makes my job feel worthwhile.

They were nothing but helpful and supportive of my dad who had a stroke at the end of June. Every time I would visit him I would ask if they're taking care of him and he would say "yes, they're taking good care of me" until he passed on October 19th. They were also very supportive of me and helped me whenever I needed it. The head/charge nurse even cried with me and gave me a big hug on Wednesday after dad passed. I would recommend this place after my experience there. The only issue I had was the miscommunication between the hospitals and the center to get him to his appointments.

Please do not put your loved one in this disgusting facility. My mom had handprints left on her and staff could not explain why. They had a mouse infestation so bad that her recliner got eaten up. Everything my mom owned got stolen. They lost her teeth twice and when I told the social worker she brought in someone else teeth stuck them in her mouth and said oh these don't fit.i went to visit in the evening and my mom was laying in bed without a sheet, on plastic, soaked from her waist down. There is only 1 cna working the dementia unit. There have been numerous administrator's because no one stays. There turn over rate is horrible. I could continue on and on but I think this is enough to tell you you shouldn't put your loved one here. I have called state 3 times but nothing has changed.

Absolutely horrible care. If I could it would be a -100 stars! Would not call ambulance per request. In just 4 days time they almost killed my Gma. Do not use this dirty facility with incompetent yet cocky employees. All positive reviews are from their employees trying to boost rating.

My mom only stayed there for a few days. The facility needs updating but staff were nice. Staff seems to enjoy their job and all worked well together. I would use them again.

The staff here always so good with my mother and accommodating to the family. This facility is improving and takes care of their patients with the utmost respect.

My aunt was moved here recently, into the memory care wing, and I am used to phoning her every 2 or 3 weeks. I have called her here twice, and it takes a very long time to get the person on the phone because apparently, the residents do not get a phone in their rooms! So, not only did it take a long time to get her on the phone, butpeople were rudely talking loudly RIGHT OVER HER, like she wasn't even there! She couldn't hear a word I said! Why can residents not receive calls in the privacy of their own rooms? I have never heard of a nursing center that doesn't have phones in the rooms! Now, I am terribly worried about where my aunt is living. Please, angels, watch over her! UPDATE Oct. 2021 I called again, to wish my aunt a happy birthday, and the phone situation has not improved. I am about ready to fly out there and see for myself what's going on. I am very alarmed! My fears have NOT been allayed. I called back to TRY to talk to the nurse in the memory ward, but after holding for 26 minutes, they just hung up on me!! NOW I AM REALLY ALARMED!! Called the administration of the place, and they were rude. They refused to even tell me whether the employees there are vaccinated for Covid! I am going to start calling senators and representatives until I get some answers!
