I found Mike in October 2023 after my previous PT had moved, which ended up being a blessing in disguise. Mike was able to solve an issue I'd been dealing with for over a year. Unfortunately, I slipped on the exercises and stretches that he had given me, leading the issue to return after I had strained my tendon again while weightlifting, but I went back to him in October 2024 and he was able to relieve the pain again. Mike is friendly and personable yet professional, and I feel comfortable asking any and all questions that I have. His approach is hands on, and he walks me through what and why he's doing something. He's also mindful and asks whether you're comfortable with certain techniques/hand placement. He's very thorough with his approach and I cannot recommend him enough. I should also mention that he has a background in competitive sports, so I feel more comfortable trusting him since he understands my interest in ultra running. Thanks for keeping my physiological wellbeing in good shape!

So grateful for Mike! I signed up for a 50k trail run and started experiencing back and hip pain, which lead me to reach out. I noticed improvement even after my first appointment. He was there for me throughout the whole training process. I successfully ran the race without back/hip pain and I owe a lot of that to him. Can’t recommend him enough. I learned so much about my body and will keep up my exercises for years to come :)

Mike saw me on Nov. 16, 2022, after a diagnosis of Bell's Palsy almost three weeks earlier. The left side of my face looked as if I had a stroke. My face drooped, I couldn't close my left eye, couldn't taste or keep saliva/food/drink in my mouth, tear ducts and salivary glands not functioning properly, not to mention the pain in my face, neck, behind my ear, headaches, etc. I had quite a list of issues and challenges relating to the Bell's Palsy and I wasn't getting much help from my medical provider. In the beginning, Mike would have a series of facial exercises I was to perform in front of a mirror at home to get the muscles retrained to recognize what to do for various expressions. I would do my exercises 30 times / twice a day. By April I could finally close my eye. This was a huge accomplishment as I was very concerned of my eye health. I had suffered severe eye strain in both eyes as one would compensate for the other. I also had plugged ears that I couldn't get relief from. Mike performed his PT techniques to relax and clear the tension and calm the nerves. Many of these techniques are very soft to the touch but mighty effective. Each time I walked out feeling physical relief and hopeful in my healing. Mike was great at educating me on the various nerves, where and how they work so I had a very clear understanding of what he was doing and why. For me, the process of healing has been difficult and slow but I have seen so much progress to date. I honestly don't think I would have had the success I've had without the treatment program Mike has provided. The good news is I look normal most of the time. I'm still healing and have facial spasms along with a few other strange feelings in my face but together we've come very far in my healing. It's been a very scary time in my life but Mike was always confident, professional and he genuinely cares about his patients. I've never been to PT like this. Mike has exceeded my expectations. I'm beyond grateful for all his help and time he has spent on my case. I highly recommend you give him a try. You will be impressed on your first visit. Thank you Mike.

I can’t say enough about how skilled Mike Plachy is at returning my physical health and well-being. I went to him on a recommendation to fix a displaced knee where more traditional PT was not progressing with attempting ~2 hours per day exercises. My acute knee pain is now resolved and he taught me how to keep any returning pain at bay with simple approaches that take me less than 15 mins per day. As a working mom, this is huge for managing my self care needs. Now tackling decades long chronic issues that came from being a college athlete, I trust that Mike has me on the right path to enjoy a more healthy and pain free life. Don’t hesitate to get a second opinion from Mike and his unique methods (or better go to him in the first place)! He came to me through my cousin and he even gave me connections for more of my family and staff in other locations through his vast network of therapists.

Mike has brought me from immense pain to pain free! No matter the issue I walk (sometimes barely walk) in with, Mike works wonders and I’m able to go on with my daily activities and life! He was the first one to notice I had an issue with my cervical spine and encouraged me to get a cervical MRI. He was right! I ended up needing cervical spine surgery and without Mike, no one would’ve known that. I highly recommend Mike and I would suggest anyone go to him with any issues that you are dealing with!

Mike helped my 15 year-old daughter recover from a bad ankle sprain so she could get back into playing volleyball. He taught her simple exercises to strengthen her muscles, and how to be safe while putting weight back on the ankle. After 4 sessions (and diligently doing her exercises) she was able to slowly get back into the game. That was 4 months ago, and she's still doing great. Mike also helped me with pain that resulted from a back injury 2 years ago. I had sciatic nerve pain that was getting worse. I had tried acupuncture, massage, Pilates, and chiropractic adjustments but all of those provided a bit of pain relief that was temporary. Mike's method of functional manual therapy has been the only thing that has provided permanent pain relief! It's unbelievable, and I am so grateful. This was the missing key to my healing process. Not only is Mike great at what he does, he's a good guy as well...down-to-earth and easy to relate with. It is easy to see that he loves finding the underlying cause of pain and helping people heal. Although he does not take health insurance, he does provide a receipt with medical billing codes that you can submit to your insurance company. My daughter and I highly recommend Mike Plachy.

Mike is an exceptional physical therapist. He has gotten me out of severe pain, once a year ago and then just recently. He’s very knowledgeable and has a way of getting right to the problem and fixes it! I feel so lucky to have him as my PT. I’ve been a dental hygienist for 20 years now and he’s given me great advice on ways to sit properly to extend my career. Such a positive person to be around. My husband has seen him too and he feels the same as me. Very grateful for all his help!

I have worked in a rehab setting and have had to obtain physical therapy services for my family and myself. Mike is by far the best PT I’ve ever met. His ability to QUICKLY figure out the root of a problem and know what to do to help is unmatched. His advanced knowledge and training is clearly evident. I have three children involved in multiple sports and who’ve had multiple pains/injuries. We went through other trainers and PTs before we found Mike and now he is always my first call when one of them has an injury/pain. I recommend him to everyone!
