Pike County Memorial Hospital

I was traveling from out of state and ended up in the ER at Pike. From the time I walked in the door to the time I left, service and staff were amazing! I can’t say enough about the ER staff. I also had a CT scan and the tech was very friendly and answered questions. It turns out that I had a large kidney stone that was causing my severe pain. They gave me what I needed and sent me on my way. Two days later they called and checked on me. All I can say is I wish every ER experience was this amazing! Thank you Pike! I’m sure your community is very proud to have you there!

I just want to say I've been too this Emergency Department twice in three days!! My Nurses both times were amazing! I had the same doctor both visits and he was amazing as well!! The staff here made sure I was well taken care of!! The kept we well informed of my condition and made sure to address my pain!! I would definitely tell people about this hospital!! They are very caring!!

We have used this hospital for 54 years. Never had a problem. You have to have some idea or information about what you are coming in for to help the medical Professionals. They may not always be right, but we are a small hospital & the gossip leaks fast, unlike a larger hospital. I just feel blessed to have our little hospital. I wish all the personnel that work there lived in Louisiana.

So far I've had a good experience here switching from BJC st peters cardiology to Dr Vankat. He explained my meds and my condition better than my doctor at BJC. I guess because it's a smaller hospital I felt like I have my cardiologists attention and. He is present at all my appointments not just a nurse practitioner like at BJC. also I would like to give my compliments to the staff in the cafeteria. I had the best lunch there today. Very friendly. I appreciate that. So far I'm very happy and feel like I'm getting good care.

Was there for over an hour in pain, never saw a doctor or a nurse. Ended up leaving because of the lack of care. It's supposed to be an emergency room, but be ready to spend a 4 hour minimum. Will just go to Urgent Care in Bowling Green next time.

I have yet to have a pleasant experience at this hospital. The doctors seem incompetent, uncaring, or just plain rude. The ER staff appears to be lazy and misguided. The cleanliness is sub-par. "Walk in" hours are posted, but you always have to make an appointment to be seen. The only doctor they have on clinic staff currently has a horrible bedside manner and an inflated sense of superiority. I wouldn't go back to this hospital if I were having a heart attack.

Staff generally very helpful and friendly, but the prices charged for procedures and devices is beyond obscene - considerably above other providers and those in larger markets (3X higher than San Diego Ca and 4X higher than similar sized health providers in Mo). When I visited to ask / negotiate fair rates for the emergency procedures I had, was treated rudely and offered a paltry 10% discount. Was also told that 10% off was not customary and was being specially extended to me, but after speaking with other former patients, they were all phoned after their visits and offered the same thing. Pains me to award only 1 star to my closest health care provider, but I simply can’t reward this level of greed in good conscience. If I were strictly reviewing the medical and ancillary staff, would be 5 stars.

ER doc was great. ER nurse was nice. Record keeping not so great. Someone had to call me after I got home to get all info. The admit nurse had copied my license & insurance card but it wasn’t with my paperwork.
