Physical Therapy: Vacaville Care Center: Sutter Medical Foundation

My doctor sent me here to get help with shoulder injuries from a MVA. I saw a guy named Rich Atkins. He spent the entire session denigrating me, telling me I’m old fat and hopeless. He said no doctor would ever help me because I was so obese. When he was done fat shaming, he said t I needed to see a mental health therapist who could convince me that there was nothing that can be done and to accept that as fact for life. I couldn’t have found a more worthless, negative person if I had been looking for it. He said I would never walk again without an assistive device. I was already getting therapy at another location for hip & knee injuries and began walking at my next appointment, just 2 days later. He put terrible negative comments in my medical records that will follow me around forever. He is an embarrassment to his profession and should have his license revoked. Don’t go here, unless you enjoy being beat up and denigrated!
