I can’t say enough about my experience working with Thomas at Philo PT. I had a myriad of issues and he was able to provide the exact treatment I needed so I was able to heal, gain strength and reach my end goal of resuming all of my normal activities. It’s definitely hard when your body is not functioning correctly, but I completely credit my ability to bounce back to the amazing staff. Thank you Thomas for everything you did to put me back on the road to normalcy. I will forever be grateful!!

I went in with sever pain in my hamstring and sciatica pain due to a fall. The staff accessed my symptoms quickly and started working on the specific area. The staff was very professional and kind. I rang the bell today because I have graduated and am done my therapy. They gave me a at home program to further strengthening my hamstring. I would recommend them to anyone in need of therapy.

My teenage son suffered a torn ACL in his left knee while playing football. The physical therapists at Philo PT worked with him faithfully and consistently starting with pre-surgery strengthening and flexibility exercises, and then rehabbed him for months after surgery till he was officially cleared and returned to full activities. Through their expertise and guidance, my son has since played a full year of varsity HS sports with no reoccurring issues. We are so thankful for all they did for him!

I chose PHILO PT for its smaller, more personal therapy. It is a quieter, calmer atmosphere conducive to concentration of healing of both yourself and your therapist. MY therapists were rotated which REALLY helps as each therapist has his/her own strengths. All were extremely professional and sincerely interested in my progress. My improvement exceeded any previous PT from other establishments. I can do all the therapies on my own without equipment beyond bands which I continue thanks to the therapists' constant reminders of positioning and posture. Ashley, the receptionist, goes to the nth degree to accomodate patient schedules. I just returned from sight-seeing in France, able to walk and stand for hours which I would never have contemplated prior to PHILO therapy.

I have say that working with Philo Physical Therapy has been my best PT experience by far. (And I've had quite a few experiences) From the moment you walk in, you are treated like a person and a friend, not like a patient. Ashley at the front desk is a delight. I was going to PT for pain from my hip to my ankle that was debilitating. I couldn't stand for more than five minutes without pain and forget walking any great distance. (Prior to this, I could walk for miles comfortably.) Dr. Thomas evaluated me and told me right off the bat that they could help, but it was going to take a while and I would need to be patient. He was right about everything. It did take a while (almost 9 months going twice a week), but I did see progress within a few visits. I mostly worked with Paige and Justin, and I can't say enough about their professionalism and their expertise. They took time to explain what they were doing, why I was having difficulty and how the various things they were doing to my body were going to help. Justin kept me entertained and distracted through some of the more painful sessions by talking sports with me, which I love to do, and Paige did the same only with life topics. I would highly recommend Philo. And, by the way, it was a 45-60 minute drive for me to visit them, that's how much I appreciated what they do.

Dr Thomas & his entire team are top notch at what they do! They encourage when the patient is struggling & cheer when strides are made, always looking at what is best for patient recovery. I broke my radial head in my prominent arm & I could not have been in better hands to regain function of my entire arm!!! I cannot recommend them enough. If you need PT…this is the office for you!

We had a PHENOMENAL experience with DJ for a youth sports shoulder injury that required 6 months of PT. DJ helped her to progressively heal, as well as, helped to teach how to keep the shoulder strong. He worked with my daughter to ensure she was safe to return to sports, often taking her outside to demonstrate the motions to ensure she was to go back to throwing, hitting and pitching. Everyone at Philo is friendly, welcoming and ensuring you have the best possible outcome. I can’t say enough about their PT staff!

Initially went to Philo for a hip flexor strain which had me dragging my left leg around. It had gotten to the point where it was difficult to initiate normal movement of the left leg. The team at Philo was able to design and implement a program that dealt with the ongoing pain and released various muscles that seemed to be tight and immobile. Additionally they provided stretching and strengthening exercises that helped me recover full functionality. During my rehab period with them I developed another issue that my orthopedic doctor diagnosed as cervical spondylosis (degeneration of spinal area in the neck). My main symptom was a vicious headache at the bottom of my back lower skull. I brought my PT order to Philo for assessment. My therapist DJ said they worked with many patients with that diagnosis and had achieved good results. It's hard to believe that the headaches were related to super tense muscles that ran from my shoulder to the left rear area of my skull. However after a couple of sessions where DJ did some muscle manipulation I could actually feel the tension release and the associated pain subside. Here again Philo designed a stretching and strengthening program that has relieved the pain and helped me return to normal functioning. I have been to PT a few times in the past, so I am familiar with the routine therapy provided at most practices. The techniques employed by Philo , especially therapist guided sessions and muscle release therapy, place them a step above others.
