Not good. If you can go elsewhere, don't go here. Doctors don't listen, won't help, or just won't do their job right. Fiance was straight up called a liar by a doctor. Went again today cause she's sick and the doctor did a rapid test for strep and said he "doesn't really do cultures for adults". They say no fever, no sick. Called to speak to billing about one of the bills 2 weeks ago, never heard back.

Emergency service are bad anytime me or my wife have went. We end up spending 4 to 5hrs at least, the IV is usually not done properly once I had blood running all down my am and the floor, the last time my wife had blood all over her sheets and they blew a vein. They never tell u what there putting in ur IV 80% of the time, you have to make sure you ask. The past 2 times we ended up with 0 answers or help and sent home vs further evaluation. The doctors office is hit or miss it depends on who you see. Even then it's hard to get proper help. My medical files still don't have proper up to date info for health issues. The cardiologist in fargo they sent me to see ran a EKG and said it looked like I had a heart attack "but it was probably wrong" wasn't trying to explain this to me or do further tests/ask additional health questions he was more interested in my sexuality and making me feel uncomfortable I had to request additional tests. Perham health told me I couldn't just switch cardiologists I had to wait for my stress test in perham and do it then and didn't even bother to ask why or ask to take a complain when I advised how that doctor made me feel. I previously went to aurora clinic in green bay and manitowoc Wisconsin I had never had issues having tests done, service or problem solving for me and my families health.

The nurses and the physicians in the ER were great, however the billing has been a nightmare. I was taken to this ER while traveling. It wasn't until after treatment that I was told they would not file on my insurance because I was from "out of state". I ended up with a huge bill to which they said, " oh, you can just file it yourself". I did try however my insurance company does not accept claims from individuals. My insurance covers 100% of ER visits in and out of network, so I should have had a zero dollar bill. Total nightmare and I will go out of my way not to go here if ever the circumstance would arise again. Also, do not let them talk you into the Instymed machine in their lobby. It is only cash and many insurance companies will not reimburse you.

Had a handful of horrible experiences with Essentia but it feels closer so I stuck with it. I caved and established primary care here at this hospital and it has been a wonderful experience, I even moved my 4m old primary care over to this hospital, a few extra minutes is worth the better care! So I'm now back after little over a year with this Hospital Dr. Stong is a great Dr She takes excellent care of my Daughter and myself. I can not give her enough thanks for the recommendations she's given me and the help that I've gotten from her, she is an incredible primary Dr and I cannot give her enough praise. Dr. Anna Jake is a really good psychiatrists and listens to what I have to say about how I'm feeling, she's helping guide me through the world of medications. They both listen and try to help me the best they can with the information that I give them, they will do all they can to help you find a solution for your ailments and mental health!!

Had the unfortunate ER visit. The check in staff were very nice. The nurse, a bit impersonal and short(he was VERY busy) was still obviously very practiced. The doctor explained things in terms I could understand as well as medical terms so I could kind of get the view that he does. Very nice place.

Place is absolutely HORRIBLE. Went into the ER and The doctor my sister had blew her off completely. He told her it was depression. She was having lung and abdominal issues and they didn’t make the time to do anything. My sister is STILL trying to find answers. Everyone, go to Lakewood and avoid this hospital at all costs. 0-10 do not recommend, girly pops.

I was brought to the ER for my first experience with rapid heart rate, I was very well attended to and end up staying in the hospital for 2 day. The PA and Dr I had were very good and caring and the nursing staff was great ! So my first ever experience in the hospital was good considering the circumstances. Special thanks to Dr Glessing and my day nurse Jess.
