Performance Place P.T. and Sports Medicine

I came here with a doctor's referral to get 'fixed' but they sent me away! With all kinds of names and numbers to go see and get the help that I need. ^^ Lloyd Givan M.Ed., PT, ATC, CSCS(owner) was amazingly kind, caring, honest, and resourceful. At the initial appointment for evaluation, he knew his place wasn't the right choice for me and he was not hesitant to direct me to places/therapists/doctors/centers where I could go that would be more fitting for me. In the past at other PT centers/physical therapists just went ahead and tried to treat me without any success even if I was getting more pain with their plans/exercises. I called all the places he gave me and successfully got in with a spine specialist doctor, spine therapist, pelvic therapist, massage therapist, and dry needling person. We all work hard to make money and we don't give away that chance easily but people who care about other's well being and with a good conscience will do the right thing regardless of what they might lose, In this case, a client/money. I'm most grateful and feel blessed! I wish the Performance Place the very BEST they deserve!!! 🙏🙏🙏

I am an ortho nurse and Olympic weightlifter. Unfortunately injured my knee and been having chronic knee pain. My ortho doctor recommended I go here as they are well equipped for athletes and the general public. They are very knowledgeable and really helped me grasp my situation. Now my knee feels better than ever. Would definitely recommend coming here for all PT needs.

The Performance Place provides top notch care and physical therapy! I had going for post-surgery rehab for about a year, and every visit was worth it. Wonderful people, addressed all of my concerns, exceeded all of my expectations.

Excellent facility to recover from sports and non-sports related injury. The professional rehab are sports medicine academics and very knowledgeable with significant experience (University of Virginia athletics, NFL). Performance Place strikes the balance of pushing one with encouragement and hard work. The administrative staff are friendly, encouraging and are great at facilitating the best schedule for each individual. I highly recommend this option for maximum benefits during recovery!

Had a concussion recently and the therapist went out of his way to call one of his contacts and get recommendations for neurologists that could help me, offered to help me in any way he could.
