I stopped into see my Aunt this morning at the Mystic Pendleton Rehabilitation Facility on Maritime Drive. They have a safe & secure check in system to keep the Patient safe from walking out and it also keeps Pendleton themselves safe from any problems that arise from the visitors. My aunt is on the second floor. Her room is very clean as is the whole place hallway, dining area, etc. The staff that I came across and the orderly in nurses, my aunt say are very good and kind and patient as it’s going to take my aunt a little bit to recover. My mom was in the Apple rehab 10 years ago in Westerly, Rhode Island, where I am from and I was very unhappy with the care. My mother received the cleanliness of the rooms besides some of the orderly and nurses who didn’t have too many patients for my mom who is suffering from a rear bone disease called coral basil, degenerative disease. This year paragraph is why I gave Pendleton rehabilitation in Mystic a 5 star rating. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Every interaction I had with a staff member here was very positive. They instilled confidence that they could handle my mother's medical condition. They were extremely knowledgeable and spent considerable time sharing their expertise and suggestions. Every interaction I saw between staff and my Mom was compassionate, calm and connected. Overall, I would say my family experienced the staff as competent and caring.

They have taken such good care of my father. Even when he was in the hospital a month right after moving down to the residential unit, they were in daily contact with the doctors. They genuinely care and it shows. They are pleasant and helpful, also accommodating. I feel safe with my dad there.

I have visited a friend at Pendleton a few times. Every single time I have been there, the staff has been superb! Friendly, caring, attentive. My friend, in his 90s, says that everyone has been great. He looks great, happy, and healthy again! I called earlier and asked if I could bring my little dog and I'm glad I did. Everyone loved her and she put a smile on patient's faces. Thank you all!

BE AWARE ! It is important that nurses and nurses'aides from staffing agencies know about this facility before agreeing to pick up shifts at this facility. You worked hard for your license and certification, so do not let this facility take that hard work from you, and go pick up shifts with facilities who will respect your work and your professionalism. This facility has the least professional and caring management I have ever encountered. Save your time, energy and your hard earned license and certification for facilities who will value you and your time. This facility will not hesitate to call your agency to put you on a " DNR list" (do not return) when you report abuse on the job as the law requires you to do and they will lie to your agency. Do not let this facility take away your professionalism, and your hard earned certification and license for doing the right thing that the law requires you to do in the event you are dealing with abuse on the job. Stay away from this facility

My husband is there at Pendleton. The area where he is in is clean & well lit. The Staff are friendly and considerate. His care has been very good, and I’m pleased all around.

I was pretty anxious when I arrived at Pendleton. I had no use of my legs and wondered if I ever would. Tracy was my assigned therapist. Supportive is an understatement. She really made me believe that I would get through this. Day 1 I could walk two steps clinging to a walker. She worked with me practically every day. Day 12 I walked out the front door. I would never have believed it just two weeks earlier. All the therapists are first rate. I got to know Jennifer a little and that added some fun to my off times. If you end up there, be optimistic. I promise you’ll get where you need to go. And give my best to Tracy and Jennifer. Good luck!

I was very pleased with the care and the rehab services my loved one received at Pendleton. I know there are past reviews regarding a staffing issue there but let me just say that that issue has been resolved and they are fully staffed. Pendleton has the best physical therapy program in the state and it truly shows. If you are someone who bases everything off of reviews- it must be understood that everyone has different experiences, and in regards to the negative reviews I have not encountered any of those issues. I would recommend Pendleton to any of my friends. The nurses, the food, the administration are truly wonderful. If I have another loved one who is in need of rehab, I would highly recommend pendleton to them.
