Pediatric Development Center

Good afternoon, I would like to take the time to appreciate the wonderful service that I receive from this center! My child has been coming for years and the therapist are just so sweet, I’m loving the new front office staff. They are always so welcoming and making my child feel so loved when he walks up to check in. They were singing the SpongeBob square pants theme song with my child after he was having a rough day. Thank you Destiny and Kiara for such exceptional smiles❤️

I put three stars for this review since the therapist are wonderful and the receptionist are friendly to children but that does not diminish the fact from being polite to pacients and their families being organized and appropriate in a work place. The only reason I put three stars is since the receptionists Kiara and destiny are disorganized, not communicating well, misunderstand appointments and cancel misplace paper work like referrals also are very rude this is not my first time having an issue with the receptionists it has been several times which is unfortunate. Since one does not have time for their mistakes where one takes two days off from work for appointments that are canceled.

I waited on their waiting list for about a year and my son started going to OT and he has been on the list for speech therapy for over eight months and nothing has moved. The Rockville location is the worst location. Their stuff do not care. Some of the therapists are great but the phone that stuff is horrible. There are two heavyset individuals that sit up front a male and a female . The male individual sits on the right hand side. He absolutely has no idea what’s going on. He’s very unsympathetic and is not trained at all the just act like she doesn’t know what’s going on either and she is more of a deer with headlights . No one at that location knows anything. I regret taking my son here because his behavior shifted and he picked up a lot of bad habits coming here. I talk to the therapist over and over but even the therapist was like we can work on it. We can work on it but nothing changed, it got worse. My son started coming here to learn how to treat toys and learn how to share, because he is the only child we were struggling with that, and it got worse. I absolutely wish that I did not bring him here. This is a warning from one mother to another mother, please do not bring your child here. My son went from being very happy to anger issues. Stay away from here.! if you are close to the Silver Spring office at Silver Spring office is great there’s stuff is amazing go there

The waitlist was a headache and calling them every month to check your status and when I was really about to give up I got a call, my son had a speech delay and when he started seeing Mrs. McNally, less then a month my son was talking new words and now his none stop talking he loves going and he loves the place nothing more at this place your child feels happy and ready to learn and play. We are so happy and grateful to God we found the great place and we are so grateful. His therapy sessions are the best.

Cancels last minute and rude scheduling personnel. Won’t let me finish talking and very inconsiderate. First of all i asked for a day off way ahead of time for my son’s evaluation appointment. I was told that the appointment was canceled bec the therapist called out. And they want to schedule my son for the next day. It is not easy to ask for a day off at the last minute because we got rescheduled for the following day. I think this is being inconsiderate. I scheduled this appointment way ahead so I could be granted off, just to be told that it would be done the following day. To top it off i was told that i could call out from work so i could bring my son to his appointment. Wow, will I get compensated by your center if I called out? So easy for her to say these things without thinking. She was very rude, won’t let me finish my questions, won’t let me speak. Her last words to me when i got upset and canceled the appointment was “okiedokie” . She should be taught proper customer service manner. Whoever was working on Feb13 at your desk needs advice on treating clients properly.

Dale has been our PT for the last three months, my daughter was only two months old when we started (torticollis), and the experience has been excellent with her. She's focused and pleasant to be around, I can tell my daughter feels comfortable and it makes a world of difference. Alfredo at the front desk has also always been helpful and friendly. Thank you all!

Our daughter has been coming to PDC for over a year, she began therapy at 6 months of age. We love both of her therapists who have been instrumental in helping her to develop the strength and skills needed to progress and meet milestones. Scheduling is easy and front office staff are always kind and welcoming. We truly enjoy and appreciate our time at PDC and are tremendously grateful to them.

The Pediatric Development Center is organized, clean, and most of all efficient and effective in what it does. One of my children receive therapy services here, and it has been stellar so far. I would recommend this location to any parent in search for an answer to the puzzle that children can be. You will have the peace of mind knowing that your child is working with skilled therapists. You will receive updates on the progress of your child, and will genuinely look forward to these sessions. The front office staff is very nice as well. Everyone here makes you feel like your child is special and deserving of reaching their full potential. I wish I would have known about this place sooner!
