PediaPlex

We were at Pediaplex for about 2 years and had a generally good experience. We had Speech/OT/ABA. The staff rotated in an out fairly often as is the case in most therapy locations, but until the last 7 months or so they were always able to accommodate my child’s needs. Speech was always great. We had a total of 3-4 speech therapists over the years. Kelsey was amazing. Unfortunately we had to go without OT therapy for 7 months due to staffing. At that time we decided it was time to leave in order to have a continuation of care for my son where he could have a full series of therapies. Our relationship with ABA was complicated but I know their therapist worked hard to help as much as they could. I would say the ABA was comparable to other centers we had been to but still too little parent training. I was blown away by the owner, she is very passionate, kind and closely involved in the kids cases.

Place is a complete sham, anybody who is looking to really help their children I would definitely not recommend PediaPlex first thing they try to sell you on is that the daughter of the owner was autistic herself second of all OT. Therapy is horrible. My child did not do ABA here, but I would definitely not recommend it. I would see all the children just laying flat in the hallway, every single day, and all the therapist faces all had the look like no one had a clue what to do. definitely would not recommend just a honest parents review.

Thank you Pediaplex Alliance team for creating an amazing learning environment for our boys to grow and further develop. You have made this journey a great experience these last 6 years! Our boys (6 & 8 yrs old) have accomplished so much while attending ABA, Speech and Occupational therapy. We are eternally grateful for your genuine level of care and attention you provide daily to help our boys. Sonia, you truly have an amazing team! Kyle-BCBA and RBTs, ‘Thank You’ so very much for truly caring about our boys and their success. You have become part of our extended family, and love you all! Highly recommend!

Edit: if the responses in bad reviews don’t explain why parents are frustrated, then I don’t know what will. The fastest they choose to respond is when it’s a bad review. The gaslighting reaction and “addressing misconceptions” is completely unprofessional and shows lack of accountability. I’m never one quick to give a one star to a location I once loved but maybe if Sonia would personally take the time to communicate in person than over a google review she wouldn’t leave a foul taste. It’s honestly sad that I am here to give this review but it’s to provide a fair warning before choosing this location. I will start by saying my child LOVED his ST and Ms Alyssa was incredible however she told us she was parting ways with this location so we decided to stop ST for my child. We agreed on a last day of speech and on what was supposed to be our sons last Appt is when Ms Alyssa called out the morning of to cancel it. Since she didn’t show up, neither did we. Now this review is not directed to Ms Alyssa… it is directed at her office staff. The office staff has the audacity to charge us no show FOR HER CANCELLATION. Then we just check our account and they have charged us AGAIN for a no show when we agreed we were done with ST. No one answers the phone so there is not a way to dispute it. That is $150 they have robbed from us. I don’t know why Ms Alyssa parted ways but it’s not hard to figure out. If you’re looking speech therapy, pick somewhere else… I used to rave about this location but never again. It’s so sad that it came down to this review. Do better.

PediaPlex is an answer to my prayers! If you are searching for a handbook on how to relate and teach your children this is the place. All of our children are different and have different needs PediaPlex helps not only your child but you! I am so happy I found them. Please take a tour you won't be disappointed. My daughter has been struggling in school and life. Pediaplex has everything for figuring out your most precious gifts. My journey for helping my child in school, sports, and life just got much clearer. Sonia Kirkpatrick has created such a wonderful place full of the best diagnostics, therapist and staff. My life will be forever changed and I know I will be a better mother because I have found PediaPlex to provide my child with the right tools.

My son has been receiving services for OT and speech here for about a year. We have been overly satisfied with his improvement in both areas. The front office staff is very friendly and always willing to help with scheduling! His therapist are fantastic and have gone above and beyond to help meet his goals. The owner has a huge heart for all her staff and clients. She has helped our family navigate through our first experience with private therapy. I love pediaplex but mostly importantly my son loves coming each week.

Our son was diagnosed on the autism spectrum at 18months. He is now 8 years old. This journey has brought us to many facilities where our experiences have been very much like a roller coaster. The only indicators of our non verbal child’s wellbeing, lay in is his countenance and physical desire to willingly go to a facility where he will be made to go beyond his comfort zone. As a parent you rely on those cues to find the right fit for your child. From the time we entered PediaPlex and found Sonja, and the ENTIRE PediaPlex staff, we knew we had found our fit. From the time you walk in and are greeted with a smile to the time you leave anticipating your next visit. Not only is the facility ascetically pleasing to look at all around from the bright colors and themed areas, but it is laid out FUNCTIONALLY which is so different than other centers. The opposite of clinical in every aspect which is not what you find in other centers. In our time at PediaPlex (2 years) our son thrived and excelled. Going beyond the programming, he was loved on fiercely by not only his therapist, but EVERYONE in the center. Sonja has selectively built her staff to uphold the caring, devoted, loving but firm nature needed to guide these spirited kiddos on all levels of the spectrum. Tayla, Jaymee’s BCBA has always gone above and beyond in planning not only Jaymee’s programs, but assisting us in parent training weekly, which no other center has ever cared to do. She prepared us for what would be the hardest year when our military commitments meant us transitioning to a new location outside of TX. We were absolutely bummed when we had to leave PediaPlex as we knew it would be hard to find anything like this in a remote location which would inevitably mean challenges in Jaymee’s growth. We have fought the past year for the kind of care and excellence PediaPlex offers its clients. There is nothing like it out there. Thankfully we are back in the area and the PediaPlex team is working fervently to get Jaymee back into services and back where he is progressing forward. Grateful beyond measure for PediaPlex. Sonja knows what us mothers fight hard for because she is that mother along side of us just wanting the very best for our kids. She works hard not just within the center, but within the community helping people to understand and bring awareness for the Autism community. It is easy to leave him here knowing he is well cared for and receiving the absolute best services. He may verbally not be able to tell me how much he loves it, but his actions and smiles tell the whole story!

Pediaplex was one of the best places for ABA, Speech and OT we have sent our boys to! Both our boys attended all three therapies there for two years and it's AMAZING to see the progress they made with the wonderful people at Pediaplex! They were attentive, caring, open, super knowledgable and creative with finding ways to help our boys. We LOVED our monthly parent meetings to discuss the boys and their progress and they were always available to help us with any issues we encountered at home. It was a dream come true for us! We can't recommend them enough!! Much love and many blessings!!
