My mother arrived at the facility able to speak and assist with getting in and out bed, wheelchair etc…While in this facility she declined daily to the point where she couldn’t speak, open her eyes, eat or drink. I asked daily what they were doing to hydrate her and the answer was nothing they try to get her to eat and drink she doesn’t. It wasn’t until some representatives from Medicare visited the hospital that they finally tested her to confirm dehydration and put her on IV to hydrate her. The amount of medication that they shoved into my Mom to get her to sleep is astonishing and when I look those medications up I have no doubt this hospital is responsible for my Mother’s rapid cognitive decline. My Mothers decline was irreversible and she passed away a week after leaving this facility. Never did we expect this to be the outcome. I see other comments about over medication at this facility as well. Pay attention to the patients illnesses versus just shoving pills into them so they are less work for your staff. If you aren’t the right place to treat them say that and get them moved to a proper facility. Do better.

Bear in mind that this is an ACUTE PT HOSPITAL meaning most patients come in right after surgery when they need the most help. I chose this Warm Springs two weeks AFTER my surgery so I could get extensive PT. I didn’t require the wheelchairs, feeding or bathing help. It took a couple of days before they realized my wishes, but when they did and allowed me to walk the halls for extra steps in addition to my scheduled PT and OT, we were all happy campers! I will always choose Warm Springs for acute PT care after future surgeries

Twice a day they would draw blood so that could test for reasons that could use to tell me I had a problem with something else. Something I was not sent to Reab for. Trying to justify charging more? Trying to keep me longer as a patient? My wife was called and told to be at the Rehab center at 12 noon to take me home when I was discharged. At 12:15 nurse told us that had not finished the discharge paperwork. This was after telling us the day before I would be discharged the next day. That had over seven hours to get it done by noon. At 1:15 that wher no done. So my wife and I left and went home with discharge paperwork missing the list of medication. Totally unacceptable.

My mom was the patient. Everything was going great, until a doctor, without speaking to me about my mother‘s history, decided to give her a very powerful medication for an illness that she did not have. Had he talk to me he would’ve known that she was told she did not have Parkinson’s. However, he gave her an extremely potent Parkinson’s drug, which had a negative effect on my mom. When I had seen how much she had deteriorated in the course of four days I demanded they stop that medication. However, it inhibited her ability to fully gain any of the benefits that a rehabilitation acute facility offers. When she first arrived at the facility, she was making strives towards improvement, however, after that medication was administer to her without either her or my permission, she deteriorated and was unable to advance in her rehab. I thought long and hard to get her approved to get into that rehabilitation facility and I specifically chose that one. The staff, the therapist were very, very nice and excellent however, I’m extremely disappointed that this facility chose to stand by the doctor and claim that his decision to do what he did did not affect my mother. my videos of her before, and after would beg to differ. Truthfully I don’t know how I feel about that facility. I think had that not happened to my mother she would’ve made great strides at this facility, but allowing their doctors to do unauthorized medical treatments on patients without the families knowledge could be the biggest hindrance and downfall of this facility. the worst part is once she was discharged the quality control when I expressed my disappointment of them absolving their doctor of any wrongdoing would no longer return my calls. That was probably one of the biggest disappointments as well as they acted like they were very concerned about the decline and changes in my mom after what the doctor had done yet in the end, said nothing happened. I have since confer with other medical professionals of which said that administering that drug to a person without Parkinson’s, which was the case with my mom, that drug is extremely potent, and it’s only meant for severe cases of Parkinson’s of which my mother does not have. I am devastated that her time at that facility after all I labored with insurance is to get her in their amounted to absolutely nothing. After that fiasco, they did extend her rehabilitation time at that facility only for her to still make zero improvement. There is no doubt in my mind that 100% of the decline in my mom‘s rehabilitation had to do with being grotesquely over medicated by a very powerful drug for a illness that she did not have and that was completely unauthorized by her family.

I did a 2 1/2 week stint here rehabbing a hip injury. The PT and OT staff are excellent. The wound care here was better than the hospital I came from, which was not bad at all itself. The staff here, overall, is top notch. Every one of them seemed to like their job which was a nice change of pace coming from a hospital where most of the staff seem to be looking for new jobs. The food here is also great. Not as much variety as a hospital but a much higher quality ceiling.

Awesome facility, extremely attentive, nurses, and aides. Very clean, good food, they basically allow you to rest while They take care of everything. If you got to be in rehab for medical reasons, this is a place to go. Large rehab room as well.

Great Facility!!! …. PAM Warm Springs was an amazing place to go to for rehabilitation after my surgery on my foot. My favorite employee there who did an amazing job was Sharky. Every time she worked she went above and beyond to help me … the rest of the employees were good, and the facility was great too.
