I was having lumbar pain for some years that continued to worsen. It interfered with my exercise, and even limited my ability to walk for more than 5 minutes without a rest. I had seen several doctors who recommended facet nerve ablation, but I did not have confidence in them after their examinations and then finding out that I would need to have three appointment of two hours each in major, crowded y surgical centers. At last I found Dr Faruque's practice in a peaceful office setting. She gave me a thorough work up, including two test procedures to ensure the exact nerves were located. The actual time in the doctor's office was minimal by comparison to the others. The best news is that the nerve ablation was successful and my pain is gone. I can now play racquetball and walk for miles in the hill country with my wife. I am very happy with the results.

Hi, my name is Cathy. I’ve had gel shots in my knees before that helped a lot. I’m on another round of gel shots now. To my pleasant surprise I was able to bend my right knee after I had my 1shot on the inside of my knee!! I haven’t been able to do that for over a year. The gel shots helped me the 1st time that’s why I’m doing another 5 wk series! I recommend it to everyone😀

Dr Faruque has helped my torn meniscus in my knee to where it’s at a good 90%. Or better. In the past I had other injections which did nothing. Then working with Dr Choll Kim. And Dr Faruque we decided my lower back pain was coming from my SI joint and not my facets We again had good success after an injection. Not as good as the meniscus but happy with the results. 👍👍👍

Dr Faruque in very knowledgeable and thorough in her explanation of the procedure. There has been noticeable improvement in the mobility of my knee. I am very happy that I chose of Dr Faruque to administer my injections.

I have been suffering from bilateral knee pain for several years and the pain became significant enough that it was really affecting the quality of my life. I was able to find the Palomar Spine and Pain Institute and Dr. Faruque after doing some significant research and decided to undergo a series of knee injections over a six-week period of time. The injections, which were no more painful than getting a flu shot, were done under fluoroscopy to insure accurate injection placement. The whole procedure from check in to check out was at most 30 minutes. There were additionally no complications associated with the procedure. The injections resulted in a significant reduction in pain and swelling and allowed to me return to actives that I have not done in some time. I was eventually able to walk/hike up to six miles with limited discomfort. There is some rehab associated with the procedure which involves wearing a brace for a period of time following each injection and doing knee exercises and stretching several times a week. I will say that each case/person is different, and no one can guarantee the same results, but Dr. Faruque provides you an excellent chance for some improvement. The cost of the procedures was also covered by Medicare and there were no charges or co-payments that I was responsible for. Dr. Faruque and her staff were also very informative and professional at all times and made the whole process very easy.

Dr Faruque is amazing. She explained injections would elleviate pain in my cervical spine caused by severe Arthritis. The day of injections her nurse took me back explained how the procedure would go reassured me everything would be great and it was. Dr Faruque and her ex ray tech were ready for guided injections. She explained what she was doing as well as what I would feel. She was very calming and professional! Procedure took 10 minutes and I am pain free. Dr Faruque truly cares about her patients. She also has a wonderful office staff.

I have been treated so well here. The front office is always helpful and calls me as well for appointment reminders. Dr. Faruque took the time to explain what is happening after review of all of the X-ray tests and MRIs. She has a good plan of attack for addressing the inflammation and joint pain that I’m having. I highly recommend her office. They weren’t even mad when I was 15 minutes late because of traffic!!! 😊👍🏻
