UPDATE: Their system is STILL sending me appointments and appointment reminders even though this all happened. This office is completely incompetent. What a joke. Dr. Khanzada is wonderful. That being said, the staff directly under him is not. They are more concerned with petty arguments over who gets referred to them vs. actually treating the patient. I was referred to them for medicine management - and then referred to another facility for injections. When I arrived at my appointment, I was informed that they do the same injections. The nurse went into describing that my Neurosurgeon is "buddies" with the other center and that is why they don't get referrals and that my Neurosurgeon is the only one here (In other words, they have a beef with this Neurosurgeon) - Let me make this clear -- I DO NOT CARE about your petty arguments over referrals. I am in pain, and I want treatment. After the appointment I called my Neurosurgeon's office to inform them that this center is extremely unprofessional and had made these comments - because I feel they should be aware that PATIENTS are being told these things. I KID YOU NOT - THE NURSE JUST CALLED ME FROM A BLOCKED NUMBER and the words she said was "We were informed that you called.... " and I hung up. I am not - REPEAT AM NOT here to get in the middle of a squabble between offices. She then called back AGAIN from the blocked number. There was no other reason to call me regarding this. Handle your office staff - be professional. It is very unfortunate that this happened because like I stated before, Dr. Khanzada was absolutely wonderful the one visit I had with him. UPDATE: Today I received a letter informing me that, "Pain Treatment Centers of America will terminate its physician-patient relationship with you. We are terminating our relationship due to your failure to follow our treatment regimen." FIRST OF ALL - I followed the regimen by the book - they are throwing a tantrum that the neurosurgeon called them to inform them that what they said to me was unprofessional. I will be filing a complaint with the state medical board.

I've been suffering with chronic pain since a wreck almost a year ago. Saw several Dr's and had procedures before I found this clinic. Finally, I feel like someone is listening and cares bout the pain I'm in. Only just started treatment, but I hope to have found my final care team.

I’m not pleased, I was in the hospital with Surgery on Sept19-Oct. 14, 2023…. I had sent a message that I would not be able to make any Sept, 23 appointments. You all are charging me for that missed appointments. I was in the hospital. They should check the records. Don’t send a bill for 50 dollars to me. Please I dispute that payment….

My experience overall has been good. I just have difficulty making it to appointments sometimes due to the distance. The office isn't open on my day off and Texarkana is a long drive from Camden, so I have to take a whole day off work.

The systemic process of getting pain medication in AR and TX is ridiculous. 10% of people are addicts but 90% of the rest of us must go to such extremes as seeking narcotic pain relief outside of our primary care providers, thus the birth of pain centers. It's a cost issue as well systemically speaking as we must pay another doctor. Aside from my opinion of deeper issues in healthcare that could have been addressed through practice standards, the care I received at PTC was adequate. I appreciated the really kind person at the front desk. She is super competent! I think that more screening is necessary in intake so the patients are prepared. For example: are you presently working with a neurosurgeon. Do you have any report results from tests such as MRI or Cat Scan. Please have copies at time of appointment. This is invaluable to a prescribing doctor who is developing a care plan. Frequent checks of UA bathroom by staff for adequate towels to clean hands is needed. I should not have to tell staff to stock the towels on my first visit. Sending medication electronic referrals timely along with the pre authorization is needed. It cost dearly to pay for meds without it which I did. Many patients lack transportation or are dependent on public transportation plus our medical conditions make it really difficult to even get to a pharmacy. Not getting a prescription filled could really be a hardship for your patients. Also, communicate delays and why and streamline the process. I was very thankful to finally get relief for my pain with correct medication.

Thank you for caring about me as a human being that has been hurt during deployment and from being hit by a car and rolling off the hood. My last pain management doctor laughed at me, she told me to get my pain meds from my chiropractor, she also told me I didn't need surgery, she told me I had fibromyalga...I found your office and made an apt that day. I recorded everything she said to me...my new primary care doc had me do imaging and I have been referred to a neurosurgeon for the damage that was done to my low back. You listened to me, you were willing to actually look at my medical history and medical records. You are willing to connect with my chiropractor, physical therapist and neurosurgeon...you are willing to actually help me slow the pain down with my injuries and treat me like a human that has some kind of value in this life...this is extremely rare in the medical field. Thank you for being good to me.
