Outpatient Rehabilitation Therapy - Fanny Allen Campus, University of Vermont Medical Center

Every time I have gone to the wheelchair clinic and ordered a new chair with the people there. It has been worse than the previous chair. The so called experts have no Practical knowledge of Wheelchairs outside of a clinical setting, That they simply take measurements and order accordingly. This last experience has left me in a wheelchair that, Fits my 6' 3 form, But leaves me unable to touch the ground, Fit under most tables or desk. In short it does fit me but it won't fit life. Although they guaranteed me the changes they wanted to make we're not going to affect anything. Simply make it fit me better. Once again I'm forced to choose between staying in a busted up chair or spending 5 years in a chair that doesn't work or fit properly

I spent a good week at Fanny Allen rehab after a knee replacement. I was treated VERY WELL. The physical therapy and occupational therapy was outstanding. Three hours a day total. When I came home I was really in good shape. I would recommend Fanny Allen Rehab to anyone who wants to work hard after a knee replacement! :-)
