Outer Banks Physical Therapy

I would give it zero stars if possible. I had a scheduled appointment and then was called because they needed to push it back until the next week .I called to let them know that I lived close by and if there were any cancellations to call me. I was told that they were glad I called because they needed to cancel again and put the third appointment attempt nine days out. I told them I would be out of town and asked why I was getting pushed back. I was told that people coming out of surgery were first priority. I asked her on a Wednesday to please see if she could get me in for evaluation before I left on vacation. I was told I would be called on Friday when the schedule came out. I was never called, So I called again the next Wednesday and asked to speak to the owner. At this point I have not received that call. Early on in this process I asked if they recommended anyone else locally so I could get seen. The answer was no, so I waited. In closing I would like to say I have BCBS insurance, have lived here since 1980 and had physical therapy there a few years ago. Mark Welch

Amy Dougherty and the Outer Banks Physical Therapy team came to my rescue after I had a boating accident while vacationing in OBX. I can't say enough good things about the graciousness of this practice. I highly recommend, they care about their community and OBX vacationers! Thanks Amy and team!!

Outer Banks PT is a fabulous business that makes healing from physical pain a truly great experience. The staff are friendly and welcoming as well as highly professional. There is seamless coordination across the staff, depending on your needs: you may work with a PT tech for previously prescribed care, see a newer PT for standard protocols or be examined and treated by the senior PT to develop an advanced and personalized protocol. Regardless, care is individualized and crafted to improve your situation as quickly and appropriately as possible. Their behind the scenes communication makes it seem as if they just intuit your needs and make them happen. While you're there, you will feel as if your treatment is the most important to them - even though they are often juggling as many as 5 or 6 patients at one time. It's a PT program well worth the wait to be seen. Their approach is amazing and, yes, fun - even through tears of pain!
