OTA The Koomar Center

**Updated** Unfortunately the Koomar center didn't work for us. The scheduling and billing staff were not particularly friendly and we had to chase them for appointments and the bill. We didn't feel that the Koomar assessment was able to add insights (though in fairness our kiddo had just undergone an intensive neuropsych- 60 page report!). Ultimately, we chose another practice. Notably, after I posted my review I received a call from the executive director to solicit feedback and talk about some of the problems we saw. I was impressed that he reached out which demonstrates a committment to customer care. I've changed my review to reflect. My advice, such that it is, would be to reach out to Michael directly should you experience issues like we did.

We’ve had such a great experience here! Diana, Ashley, Katie, and Kelsey are amazing at supporting kids to be happier, healthier versions of themselves. Their space is so inviting that the kids feel like they’re just playing on fun equipment. They’re also so good at helping me, as a parent, to think about what my kids need to be happier. Our whole family is in a better place thanks to our time here.

The Koomar Center has pushed our son to the next level with his speech and reading. So much so that his teacher thought we'd started having a private reading tutor work with him. Becky has caltivated such a positive relationship with our son that he looks forward to seeing her weekly. All the staff is attentive and thoughtful, our son loves greating Ally with her welcoming smile. Our family cannot recommend OTA The Koomar Center enough.

We’ve really have been impressed by the professionalism and knowledge of the staff at the Koomar Center. Amy has been wonderful and my child looks forward every week to their sessions.

Fortunately I heard about OTA Koomar when I brought up my concerns to the NP at my son’s pediatrician’s office. We have been receiving speech support for over two years. The space is really welcoming and it doesn’t seem like work when you are bouncing and pronouncing. My Health Insurance covers all but the co-pay. We have now set up two times a week with Flinn and progress is making him not only a clear speaker but an excited reader. Check it out with an evaluation!

Jennie has been incredibly helpful in both teaching us how to do therapy correctly (and happily) but also working with us to ensure we have the proper equipment at home.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. Emma L is excellent speech therapist for gestalt language processing. My son has come so far. Jennie S is an amazing OT therapist. They have both changed my son’s life.
