A therapist should never ever minimize a patients pain. Especially when I’ve suffered for a decade and have lost everything I had in life. To be told the widespread pain I have is in my head and none of it causes pain and that it must be my diet is insulting. I have never experienced such discrimination to pain patients until I moved to Illinois 6 months ago. I had to stop the treatment plan I was on upon moving here and have suffered tremendously. To be told “ 7 yrs out of that decade was in my head and the 3 years of treatment should never have been done is inexcusable. I didn’t know physical therapists had a doctors degree and that their person opinions were suppose to be part of my therapy. If I didn’t need to have this done so I can get imaging of my neck and spine I’d never go back. Shame on you for allowing this. I left in tears and it’s damaged any hope I’ve had of getting any quality care.
