I had foot surgery on October. After surgery my Dr said I could not drive for at least 1 month. My insurance needed paperwork filed out by the office. Office rep Stacy asked me to “drop off the paperwork” after 1 week from the surgery. My insurance faxed them the paperwork needed 4 times, but Stacy insisted that I go in. I called multiple people to see if they could do an exception since I could not drive and they all refused to help. I was in tears at this point. I went in a week later for the following appointment and I got verbally attacked by the staf. I found that very unprofessional. I was in pain, depressed because I can’t move freely, concerned that my insurance was not going to get the paperwork in time, but i was never rude or unprofessional with them. I can not understand how they are allowed to treat their sick patients like that.

I was referred to this office after having to deal w/a different office being incompitent and insensitive. I followed my Dr's instructions and didn't leave the other practice until i had my appointment setup w/OSG. Their office called ME on April 18th and scheduled and appointment for May 23rd, 1st available. I gave their cord all of my insurance info and was all set. I called them the day before my appointment to ensure the office received the paperwork they requested and as a part of my message specified that as of May 16th (literally the wk before) I had secondary insurance which was medicaid after hearing they arent accepting new patients w/medicare or medicaid. When their cord called me back we discussed the paperwork and she never mentioned having to cancel my appointment due to having medicaid & honestly I forgot. I arrive at my appointment go to hand reception my insurance cards and license and she said "We can't see you, we have to cancel this appointment. We are not accepting any new patients w/medicare or medicaid". I was stunned. I advised her I left a message w/their cord who called me back and she never said anything about having to cancel my appointment. I go to walk away and go back in and ask that they just use my private insurance and bill me copay and reception said "We can't do that, I'll get her so she can explain." The cord comes out and says they have a contract w/the state and if they only use my private insurance and the state finds out they'll get in trouble. I was so embarassed because this all took place infront of other patients. I just told them "this is ridiculous I have been out of work since Jan w/out pay and never thought I'd need to apply for help so now you guys are penalizing me" and walked away. Please keep in mind I waited over a mth for this appointment, I am suffering w/not only fibro pain but also w/excruciating lower back pain and excruciating hip/leg pain. Dr. Ligham was supposed to discuss w/me what xrays from March show on my back, now I have to find someone new and wait again. Mind you, technically, I am not a new patient. I have been seen by his practice before. I was a patient of OSG until about 2014. Actually, I was actually in their Fairfield office last week and was told I need a hip replacement and was referred to another Dr in their practice. I'm sure to operate on me they won't have an issue with medicaid paying whatever my private insurance doesn't cover. I love my hip doctor, Dr. Weiland was at a different practice when he did my surgery in 2014 and because he is just so awesome I went to him at this place to discuss my hip issues. It's unfortunate that he now works with them because I will never give them another red cent. I have already scheduled an appointment w/a different practice and will never look back. I decided to do more than just be angry I filed a complaint with the state. I can't control that I am sick and in need of help but I can control how you treat me and others.

They overcharge for services and don’t inform you ahead of time. They know how to code for maximum reimbursement from insurance - we basically had a bill for a treatment plan of $900 in addition to the doctors fee of $220 and all we got for that was an a compression sock and a follow up visit. In the follow up they billed for two sets of X-rays when one would suffice. We will never use their services again. There are plenty of honest orthopedic doctors in the area.

The doctors were amazing. Surgery was wonderful. When it came to their physical therapists they were Neither compassionate nor understanding or knowledgeable. Doing stretches and moves that should not be completed for 10 more weeks of recovery. Set me back a long way.

I’ve been to several of the OSP offices. While my particular doctor is not very sensitive or patient friendly and the reception staff at most of the locations could use sensitivity training, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LOVE the experiences that I’ve had with the PT group and the PAs. Specially Nicole L & Nicole P, as well as Lynn! Thanks Ladues for caring and for being attentive and making me feel special!

Horrible office and terrible doctor/staff. Theese people are unorganized, irresponsible and the rude to boot. I had to call more than 5x times just to schedule a MRI. They Promised I would receive a call soon after the apt. Almost a week passed .... The people at the desk are very rude and if you ask them for help (like I did) they give you the run around and bullsh*t with you. They never talk to the nurse or doctor on your behalf(they want to tell you want u want to hear). The doctor here is also bad! After one vist he advised me and made my pain/situation worse. When I called back looking for help/answers all these people basically shurg thier shoulders and promise someone will call me back. Never got a callback. Avoid this place! . I hate this place and it's shamefull to see healthcare systems treats injured veterans. Shame on You!

OSG USED to be an excellent group. Not anymore. Went in to the Fairfield office for a problem yesterday and am worse today. They were so rude and dismissive to me; couldn't be more obvious they don't care at all. Please if you need ortho help go to a practice where they care about you and don't treat you with rudeness and disrespect.

7 months ago, I got an injury playing co-ed indoor league soccer. I had complete reconstructive ACL surgery (with a donor ligament) performed by Dr. Stanton, who is literally a world-renowned, sports injury orthopedic surgeon. He's absolutely the nicest doctor I've ever met, always having a pleasant smile on his face. Even when I re-injured my knee and was SO upset, somehow, when he walked in with that smile on his face, every thing was better... :) Lynn, his PA, is by far one of the most well educated, professional, knowledgable, and friendly PA's I've ever worked with. Her procedures are virtually painless (as far as ortho procedures go) and thank god they're quick!! I've had a such as AMAZING experience working with her and the other staff as well. The staff here in particular are so sweet and kind, always having big smiles on their faces and always willing to help. Not only is Dr. Stanton a superior surgeon, all of them are. They all have awards on the walls and sports team jerseys signed by all of the players that the doctors have worked with. They are the best of the best. And you can't go wrong with any of them. Therefore, I would HIGHLY recommend Orthopaedic Speciality Group (all locations) to anyone with an ortho injury. Hang in there folks, work hard and it WILL get better!!
