Why don't you take Medicare? Or, cash-pay from people who have it? Isn't this the largest demographic who needs pelvic floor PT? Or, could this be a political statement? I know my secondary Medicare insurance pays, so what's the problem? And, thanks for letting me know you don't take my insurance 2-hours before my scheduled appointment that I made 3 weeks ago. You had no qualms asking for my credit card info online when I was filling out forms, without checking if my insurance was accepted.

Like many other new mothers I’m sure, I had to jump through major hoops to find someone to watch my baby so that I could make it to my 12pm PT appointment. I drove an hour to get there. I was there before 12pm. However, a car in the Origin office parking lot was illegally parked, blocking the driveway making it impossible to access the lot. I called the office to request that the owner of the vehicle be notified. Nothing was done, so I had to drive in reverse down the very narrow driveway onto busy Beverly boulevard and then look for street parking. This ate up about 10 minutes of my appointment time. By the time I got into the office and saw the PT, it was 12:15. I notified the front office staff of the situation to which they responded “ok” with no action taken. When I sat with the PT, she informed me that she would not be able to do the in-person assessment as the next patient would be arriving in 15 minutes and I was late. I explained to her that I did my part of arriving on time, but because of this car blocking the driveway, Im losing an appointment I had waited weeks for. To this she responded “yeah. Parking is hard here.” There was zero sense of accountability, zero acknowledgement of how stressful it is for a new mother to make it to any appointment, and zero accommodation. As Origin has tremendously grown in quantity, their quality has greatly suffered. I’ve heard this from several other mothers as well. What a shame.

I chose Origin Physical Therapy due to their virtual options for PT. I was pleasantly surprised at how effective it is to receive online therapy. Mariam Taha from Origin in West Hollywood was absolutely amazing!!! She explained everything and demonstrated all the exercises so clearly. Within the first week, I felt improvement and she helped me every step of the way over the next several months. In addition to her knowledge and expertise, I have to say her positive attitude and custom plans for my specific needs made all the difference in the world. She's an optimistic, experienced healer and physical therapist. I highly recommend her to anyone for all their PT needs.

I was prescribed physical therapy after the birth of my 2nd child to treat bladder prolapse. I was pretty frustrated as I don't believe the US provides ample education or post-natal care for new mothers and felt my prolapse could have been avoided with the right instruction/care. Anyway, I started my treatment at Origin with Mariam who is a true delight. I vented all of my frustrations at our first session and she listened, agreed and explained some of her thoughts on maternal care and the reasons she got into pelvic physical therapy. Throughout my treatment Mariam was so compassionate, understanding, and really helpful. She made me feel comfortable at each session and ultimately helped ease my symptoms. I felt like she was a friend who I could share most anything with. I would 100% recommend Mariam for post-natal care, and urge pregnant women to speak with their doctors to get prenatal referrals to strengthen their pelvic floor before birth (I wish I had). I'm grateful to Mariam for offering such skilled and empathic support during such an emotional time in my life.

I went to Origin Way for physical therapy while pregnant, and will be going for postpartum care as well. I saw Dr. Mariam Taha and cannot recommend her enough! She's extremely personable, empathetic, and knowledgeable. Without her I wouldn't have been able to manage my SPD pain in the lead up towards labour, and I felt prepared for that as well. I also saw Dr. Rachel McCarthy-Moya once and thought she was fantastic as well. The staff are all exceptionally friendly and helpful, the facilities are clean and great, and I always enjoy going!

I’ve been going to Origin for several months now and working with Dr. Mariam and she’s great! The exercises and treatments have been helpful, she really cares about getting to the bottom of my issues (she has even done research outside of our sessions), and she’s such a kind person. Highly recommend Origin for any physical therapy needs!

I established care here for hip/buttock pain related to pregnancy. Since the pain has improved I continue working with them to create a pregnancy appropriate exercise/strengthening routine and look forward to more labor/delivery specific sessions when the time comes. I have thus far worked with 2 therapists and they are both great (Mariam and Jada). The facility is clean and welcoming. I really recommend establishing care with them during pregnancy as I have found the therapists to be an excellent resource. I am lucky in that my health insurance pays for the service, so with only a small co-pay this is a total no-brainer.

Origin is such an incredible place for any person looking to improve their pelvic floor health. I am so grateful to have met Mariam, she is truly so caring and committed to improving the health and well-being of all her patients. She truly brings so much knowledge, skill and compassion into each treatment session. If you're thinking about pelvic floor PT, Origin is the place to go!
