Optalis Health & Rehabilitation of Grosse Pointe Woods

My dad received care at Optalis in Grosse Pointe Woods after another facility sent him home septic (he almost died). Optalis' care was amazing and they took very good care of my father. I received frequent updates regarding his progress and he made so much improvement! The case manager, Lakesha, is absolutely amazing. All the staff at Optalis were. It goes to show that great staff and leadership can really change the patient experience. Communication was great and they took my concerns seriously. I did 4/5 stars because there were 2 nurses that worked there that my did said were "nasty" and he did not feel safe in their care, but unfortunately you will get poor employees anywhere you go. I still highly recommend Optalis in GrossePoint Woods

Optalis was really a great experience for my mom who was there for 2 week rehab. She received best help you could want for your love one and the staff was so nice from day one I’d recommend this facility to any and everyone who wants and need the best of care.

My mother died here. They tried to pawn it off on the EMS who only came after my cousin (a nurse) who was visiting at the time, told them that my mother was not okay and they needed to call 911 for help. After my mother died I never got any call from this facility. I had to contact them to pick up her belongings. When i arrived to the facility to pick up her things. They sent out housekeeping to deliver it to me. No administrator, no nothing. To this day I still haven't received a phone call from them. I thought I was doing my due diligence by reading reviews before selecting a facility for my mom to recover in. I wish I had seen the truth about this place. DO NOT send your loved one here.

My sister has been staying at this facility since last October. I can never thank the staff there enough for all the care, kindness, patience, and comfort, they have provided for, not only my sister, but for our family, as well. I can sleep well at night, knowing my sister is in a wonderful place.

Under the circumstances that I'm here (amputated leg) I can't imagine going to a better rehabilitation center than Optalis. The atmosphere is wonderful. The staff is very attentive. In the unfortunate event you may have to go to a rehabilitation center. Consider Optalis, I really think you will be more than satisfied. I certainly am.

I would recommend this facility to anyone needing therapy! When my stepmom was there Roz took excellent care of her during her time there. Roz and the other therapy staff was so patient and kind to my stepmom! She came out of therapy so much better than she was when she first went in!!!!

Awesome community and the staff are very kind and welcoming! They took care of my papa when he was a resident. We especially loved Kim & Donna. Thank you!!

I Give this facility Five Stars, I’ve worked in a couple different facilities and I’ve never thought to give a review but this facility has earned my respect and earned these five stars, this building is full of staff with amazing longevity records, from the nursing department to the dietary team to housekeeping and rehab, these staff members show up to work with compassion and understanding written on there foreheads! The administration team is an amazing set of individuals as well. The staff here really do care about the residents, kudos to the dietary department they push out some amazing food, and thumbs up to the rehab department I’ve seen them do some amazing things with the residents. If you’re looking for a place to take your loved one stop by this facility, take a tour, you’ll feel the love and passion soon as you walk into the door! Much love to the Grosse Pointe Team😘
