Open Door Pediatric Therapy

We have been to various speech therapy locations and Misti with Open Door Pediatric Therapy was the best thing that has happened for our son and his speech journey! He is a Gestalt Language Learner and not only was Misti able to identify his need, she went above and beyond to provide us with trainings and resources to learn more about Gestalt Language Learners and how to help our son at home. She worked tirelessly to find ways to teach our son based on his interests and always made it fun. My son is beyond excited to come to speech and runs in smiling every week. Open Door Pediatric Therapy itself is unlike anywhere we have been prior. There are no offices and it is set up like a children’s play museum with themed rooms the kids can explore based on their needs and interests. My son doesn’t even realize he is at therapy compared to previous locations where you are locked in a small room. This place is a gem and Misti has been an amazing resource!

We have been coming to Open Door for about a year and we have seen tremendous results in our kiddos. The staff is fantastic and really takes the time to explain the skills and techniques that our kids have learned to us so that we can have a better understanding of what they are dealing with and how to mirror the lessons and techniques at home. These folks here, especially Amber, have a huge heart for helping children. Both my daughter and my son look forward to their visits and to explore/play in the different themed rooms as they hone in on thier skills. Our experience here has been overwhelmingly positive for our whole family.

We are so thankful for Open Door! Not only do they have an amazing facility, they have the most incredible staff. They genuinely care about their clients and families. Therapists Kendall and Norma specifically have been a God-send for us. They have been engaged with us from the beginning and have welcomed our concerns and needs with open arms, even going so far to help with research on next steps for our son. They are amazing!

Open Door Pediatrics has been an amazing place for my son! His speech therapist Kendall Wellauer has helped him go from zero words spoken at 14 months to now over 25 words at 19 months old. She is excellent at what she does and I would highly recommend her! She has a special and unique way of engaging with your child and making them feel known and understood. My son loves going to Open Door twice a week and seeing Ms. Kendall!

We absolutely love it here! Our teachers have all been amazing and so patient with my son but our favorite teacher would definitely be Ms. Kendall! She has helped my son with his speech and feeding therapy for a long time now and his progress has been so awesome to see. He talks about Ms. Kendall all the time and can’t wait to see her when we get there. He has so much fun here and it’s a good feeling knowing he’s having a blast while also learning. We can’t thank Ms. Kendall and Open door enough for all they’ve done for us. :)

I have been coming here with my twin daughters for over a year and half now. The significant changes I have seen in my twins is amazing. All of the therapists here genuinely care and go above and beyond to help our little ones. I have one verbal twin and one non verbal twin. The non verbal one knows how to say her colors, shapes, numbers, alphabets, animals and much more because of her wonderful therapists. The verbal twin can now make complete sentences when requesting for things. The ladies who own this awesome place are so compassionate and truly want to help parents and their children. I have never come across such caring people in my life, they helped me and my family in ways I thought were impossible. There are so many kind and caring people here and I would highly recommend Open Door Pediatric Therapy ❤️

We’ve been going to Open Door for 5 years (as my LO seeks long term therapy care). We’ve had 100% positive experiences along the way. They are the most caring group of physical, occupational and speech therapists you can find and I can’t leave out the wonderful office staff, too! You receive a smile from walking in to walking out and I know they genuinely care that your child becomes the best they can be. A special shout out to Loren S, Vi, and Bek who have been looking after us and helping us strive consistently towards success! They are amazing, patient, hard workers and I’m so glad they are part of our lives!

I only have positive words to ODPT. We are so lucky to have Mrs. Misti as my son ST. Since my son and her met they both have created a good chemistry and in the last 7 months I can see how much my son has grown with his speech. I love the way she treats kids, always does her best to connect with them and make their therapy fun. Thank you for all your guidance and for being empathic not only with my son and for us too. :D
