I was referred by Ashley, PA at Newport Orthopaedic Institute after shoulder surgery July 1st, 2024. I've been beyond satisfied with the quality of care provided by this Team and it's Owner/Therapist, Lisa. I'm particularly impressed with Charlotte and especially Austin whose healing hands definitely helped to expedite the healing process through effective massage therapy. I'm so grateful for Ocean Physical Therapy! Physical Therapy following surgery is vitally important to the outcome of any procedure. A patient in pain should never be treated like this.... Evelyn at Ocean is an example of how NOT to treat a patient. EVER. I was told by Tracy at the front desk to call Evelyn and discuss my situation (a small misunderstanding with the insurance regarding coverage). To be very clear, I told Tracy at least ten times that if the insurance didn't pay I would gladly pay out of pocket, WHICH I DID, however the insurance assured me that the service was covered so I was calling Evelyn to give her the reference number from the insurance, as advised by Tracy. However although I DID EXACTLY WHAT I WAS TOLD by Tracy at Ocean front desk to do, ie call Evelyn, --- Evelyn started screaming at me when I called her, telling me that she didn't need anything from me (no forms, no reference number, no medical code). She also told me that "Tracy was wrong to tell" me this and that "what Tracy told” me “was incorrect". She basically told me several times in a very disrespectful tone to stop talking because she was “not interested” to hear any of this. My husband was there with me overhearing the conversation, and he was looking at me in disbelief since he could hear Evelyn scream at me for no reason. He said he couldn’t understand why someone would ever be so rude to a patient for no reason. Evelyn is disrespectful and refused for 5 times in a row to get the information that Tracy instructed me to give her. It is extremely unfair to set a patient up like this, and get them caught in the middle of a disagreement between two Ocean staff members. These guys really need to get their act together because this lack of communication between their staff members could be very damaging and upsetting to a patient in pain who comes here for treatment and compassion, and instead have people scream at us for no reason. And to add insult to injury, when I tried to share what happened, I was scolded that I was the one speaking badly to their staff. When I requested proof, none was offered. Extremely unfair and unjustified treatment. I am so sorry I picked this place, although they have good therapists that try to do good work for patients, dealing with the administrative staff can be extremely challenging, especially for a patient who is crying in pain and gets no compassion when they need it most.

Lisa, the primary PT is experienced and really knows her stuff. Both my husband and I have been there and received excellent care. We both have experienced significant improvement. It is a healing place!

Facility is nice and clean with an airy feel due to the full line of floor to ceiling windoes. Equipment is well kept but ultimately the five star rating has nothing to do with the facility.... It's the people. I have worked with at least four different therapists there (Erica and Marriane are my main ones now) over the course of dealing with two different cases (broken ankle and hip issues). They all share the same trait... They care. This goes for the PT assistants as well (Monica, Clara, Mike, Holly, Melissa have all worked with me). There is a general feeling from the entire staff that they want you to succeed in your goals of getting better . They share information back and forth between therapists to get the best collective knowledge available and are constantly monitoring when you do your exercises and stretches. They genuinely listen to your feedback and make suggestions based on the info they get from you . I've been other places where they just print off a six week program that is a standard template and you are told to come in and do the exercises on your own . This is the complete opposite. Be prepared to spend some time. Do your exercises at home as well and they will get you better. Highly recommend .

Ocean Physical Therapy cares about you and has a great physical therapy program. I am in the process of rehabbing my knee and Devin & Marianne have provided terrific therapy. They are also now including laser therapy as well and seem to be on the cutting edge. Highly recommend.

I highly recommend this facility! The staff is very knowledgeable and personal. I also see results from session to session. I am glad my neighbor recommended this place!

I have used Ocean several times and they are always professional, knowledgeable, and personable.

Tracy is an excellent and thoughtful physical therapist. I had full ACL and meniscus repair, she had me back on my feet in no time. Her advice and consul has mirrored my physician every step of the way.
