Occupational Therapy in San Marcos by PT In Motion

We started with Ms. Amy at PT in motion in San Marcos for my son' occupational therapy in 2020. Because our son's sensory seeking was so intense, the San Marcos location fit our needs better because it had a large gym where he could move freely from one activity to the next to help satisfy his need for deep pressure and grounding. Ms. Amy recognized our son's needs right away and suggested that we might like the San Marcos location better because of the larger space and where she felt she could work with him more successfully. With her help we have focused on practicing self-calming strategies, how to better manage excitement when over stimulated and even how to try tasting new and different textures when eating. Our son loves going and comes out happier for the experience. Thank you so much, Ms. Amy and PT in Motion for offering this unique kind of therapeutic treatment and for tailoring it to our son so cleverly.

Our son has been going to PT in Motion for Occupational Therapy for a little over a year now. Amy is his therapist and we cannot say enough positive things about her. She Is so attentive to our son’s interests and needs. She knows he loves Roblox. So, Amy found an activity that worked on their goals that was Roblox based. She works really hard to keep our son engaged and interested in what they are doing, helping him to continually progress and succeed in his goals. He looks forward to going to OT and he really likes Amy. She is so awesome with him! Amy is always happy, kind, and positive with our son. She is also knowledgeable in the field if Occupational Therapy, has great ideas, and is helpful with suggestions, when I ask for advice. We could not be happier with our decision to go to PT in Motion.

Ms. Amy is really charismatic and engaging with kids. She tailors her sessions to best meet the needs and the preferences of the child so that it is fun and productive. She goes above and beyond to connect and understand the child in sensitively working to challenge them and help them be their best self. She is an easy communicator and very adaptable. We have had a great experience.

My sons been seeing Amy over at the San Marcos location for OT. She has been so helpful and my son enjoys going to see her every week. We’ve have been going to OT since my son was 2 and have seen many different therapists over the time but it’s been wonderful that every time he gets a new person he has never seemed upset or sad he clearly enjoys going and makes me comfortable knowing they care for my kid as much as I do in making progress. I’m always well informed on things they are working on and things we can do at home to help with his progress. They work on goals and once mastered we come up with new goals that need help and he has been showing great progress. We highly recommend Amy at pt in motion!
