Occidental Area Health Center

This used to be an incredible clinic filled with staff and a care team that truly cared about the mental and physical health of their patients. My most recent experience, a front desk girl laughed at me while I was crying. They are not trauma informed which causes more harm and I got to experience this first hand.

Spent multiple days trying to make them my PCP. Only to be turned away the day I am switched to this PCP because I dont live 20 minutes closer. On top of everything the person on the phones was super rude and short with me. Would not suggest this practice to anyone looking for a caring and helpful group of doctors. You Will be severely disappointed.

The wait time is unbelievable, it never seems that busy but every time I go I wait for at least 30min and that is on a good day. The drs are always in a rush or distracted by other things going on in the clinic, sometimes excusing themselves in the middle of our visit to check on lab results and other patients. Sometimes I feel that they just rush to get me out so they can move on, even when I have more questions or concerns. Bottoms line I do not feel the drs truly listen to me and will be transferring to a different dr/ facility.

Don't come here if you need stitches they won't treat you. Should put a sign on the door so I don't waste time bleeding in your lobby.

This is a great place. The doctors are all wonderful very welcoming and caring.

I called about making an appointment and was turned away and told to go somewhere else because I was not a currently registered patient...but my family has been going here for years and they didn’t even care to ask me what I needed, just rushed me off the phone and turned me away.

All the drs are great especially Wendy Wiley
