The team here is phenomenal! I have been bringing my dog here since he was 3 months old and he is now 16!! I would not trust anyone else with him. When they opened up the therapy side too, it was a no brainer for me to check it out since he is a Labrador and has many issues with his joints. They have given me years more with my boy. There is not a week that goes by that we don’t visit for his therapy session and acupuncture. They tailored the therapy to his specific needs and listen to his body and our feedback on how he’s doing each week to give him the best session they can. He goes in barely walking and comes out zooming ready to go walking around and explore like he used to when he was younger. I only wish they treated humans too because I would be a patient!! Lol. Dr. Emily, Dr. McKinstry, Dr. Blair, Dr. Nixon and all the team that assist are truly outstanding individuals that take the time to care about you and your furry family member. I’ve always wanted to move to the coast but we simply can’t uproot our boy knowing he wouldn’t be getting this treatment each week. This clinic has changed our lives and we are so very grateful for all they do for us. We are on our 3rd package round and it’s worth every penny to see him so happy and doing well. The other thing I really love is they don’t just want to pump him full of synthetic medication, they use both eastern and western medicine techniques which is a very progressive and appreciated approach! They have also recommended products for him that really work and help us meet his needs as an elderly dog, things I would have never thought of. If you are considering therapy for your furry loved one, I highly recommend giving them a call and visit, you will not be disappointed.

I started taking my boxer Rocky to Oak Tree after I was referred there by the dog rescue I volunteer for. Rocky has some weakness in his hind legs. One of the main draws is the option for water therapy. Emily and the team are amazing! I am always greeted with a smile and everyone is always happy to see Rocky. Rocky also enjoys his time there, mainly for the treats! Thank you Oak Tree for helping to keep my boy strong!

We were referred to Oak Tree Animal Rehab several months ago for our Belgian Malinois, who suffers from a number of conditions, including arthritis, stenosis, and IVDD. Despite having tried years of treatments, such as acupuncture, chiropractic, hydrotherapy, and even surgery, he still struggled with discomfort and a lack of mobility in his hind legs. We met with Dr. McKinstry and Emily for his initial consult at Oak Tree; they immediately made us feel welcomed, and performed a thorough exam. It was apparent that they had both really studied his past records and had an excellent understanding of his condition. We then began a series of treatments that included shock wave therapy and cold laser, and we saw IMMEDIATE improvement in our dog! He has continued to improve with each session, and while he will never be "cured", we feel so much better knowing that the therapy has made such a difference. He also adores Emily and Allie and loves going for his sessions - such a contrast from when he used to get stress colitis after his vet visits. They genuinely care about him and it's wonderful to know that we have their support. I can't recommend Oak Tree enough; if you have a dog that might benefit from therapy, it's a top-notch facility that we are so grateful to have found!

My dog has improved so much with the wonderful care from the rehab staff. They take a very personal and customized approach with my dog, and she loves going to her weekly therapy appointment. Thank you for all your hard work and making Maya feel better!

Dr. Emily McKay has been treating my dog's acute back pain with laser therapy and weekly adjustments. Given her training as a PT, DPT, and CCRP, she is incredibly skilled at identifying and releasing musculoskeletal pain in dogs which I have see firsthand. I have seen a dramatic improvement in how my dog walks, his spinal alignment, and his activity level. He currently no longer requires any pain medications. I was tempted to jump to a neurological consult for possible disc disease, but saved significant time and money by trying rehabilitation first. The staff are incredibly kind and flexible with scheduling weekly appointments. It makes me look forward to our weekly appointments. They also have very fair pricing and bundles for multiple appointments. As a UC Davis vet student, I would highly recommend Oak Tree for dogs who need any sort of rehabilitation for orthopedic disease from IVDD, osteoarthritis, to obesity. It provides another opportunity to manage pain and disease beyond solely medical management.

Oaktree has been a literal life savor for our family. Our dog was having very difficult time recovering from surgery to repair his torn CCL and it was severely impacting his quality of life. His joints were inflamed and he was in a lot of pain. Working with Oaktree has restored the use of his knee, he is no longer in pain, and is back to his happy self! We are so grateful for the Oaktree team!
