I’ve had many years of physical therapy. The first being at Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford CT. Exceptional experience! I’ve recently had Physical therapy at Yale in Stamford on 260 Long Ridge Rd. My therapist was a Doctor and he was amazing. I highly recommend Yale/Greenwich Hospital, physical therapy department in Stamford. My experience with Nuvance on West Avenue was horrible. Desiree is lazy! Desiree dismissed me from physical therapy when she wasn’t even the therapist working with me. Stating there’s nothing else that they could do for me. But yet, the doctor sent me back with Beth, who was awesome. Obviously it wasn’t Desiree‘s call Because I returned. SMH - She’s unfit! Then I had an encounter with the social Worker. When I asked about how much the visits would cost if the insurance didn’t approve it. She told me that I couldn’t afford it. LOL Complete Looney Toon!!! Totally unprofessional. Im not sure if either is still there. The reason why I’m just posting this is because someone has experienced something similar. There was a racist undertone with the physical therapist and the social worker when I attended. I addressed my issue with the office manager. However, I never even got an apology.! I was told that we are aware that there’s a problem. SMDH - FYI people when a doctor gives you a prescription / order for physical therapy you don’t have to go to Nuvance Health West Avenue. That prescription/order is good anywhere. Stamford Health Systems has a facility on West Avenue, Norwalk and Yale has a facility in Stamford on Long Ridge Road. Please know people Disrespect is unacceptable in any setting. You have an issue write, the CEO of Norwalk Hospital.
