I love Dr. Prestley! The nurse practitioner that use to be there is phenomenal but she only works one day a week now. The receptionist’s are so kind and the people in TMS are fantastic. The reason I am giving it 2 stars is because they said they are focusing more on neuro patients and are sending psych patients to the psychiatrist downstairs. I was in there for ten minutes with Dr. Khan and he was trying to give me medicine within the first 60 seconds before I even told him my issues. He continued to cut me off, undiagnosed what other drs took time to get to know and diagnose, he ignored me at some points, and was just trying to give me medicine. He told me that my issues were a part of my personality and that I struggle with mommy issues as well. I feel like he was a man treating me like a hysterical woman or a spoiled kid who can’t handle life. I have legit issues and I’ve never let that stop me in life but I went to him trusting novus and I went in trusting him to help me. I put a review about him on his page but I wanted to leave one here as well. The nurse did not seem concerned and when I called upset she said she’d call the nurse practitioner for recommendations. She said it could take a few days to get a response but that she would call me. I waited a week and a half and called and she said she left me a message on patient portal. There recommendation? Find someone in Birmingham. Not any names just find someone in Birmingham. When I told her I do not believe that man is treating his patients right and that I am upset with the way I was treated by him she was getting an attitude and said she’d not listen to me talk badly about a part of her staff. There is so much more that was said but I don’t have enough characters to type it all. The majority of the novus team is amazing but the fact that they could send me to someone so carelessly in their staff and not care that a patient that has never caused problems before and has even recommended people to them is coming to them upset and concerned and they don’t care and even start to take a side instead of trying to help or get to the bottom of it is appalling. If you see Dr. Presley himself or go to TMS there then it’s 5 stars but my personal experience lately has been heartbreaking and I left worse then when I went.

I clearly explained that I had been out of work for an extended period and made sure to confirm with the front desk that I wouldn’t have a co-pay before starting physical therapy. The person acknowledged this. Now, I’m repeatedly being contacted by Novus Neurology regarding a bill for nearly $500. Today, someone from the billing department even said, "we don’t want this to go to collections." Going forward, I’ve learned to wait about 30 days after a medical appointment to find out how much I’ll actually owe.

They are the best. Sometimes there is a long wait but that is because everyone really takes their time and answers any questions or concerns you might have. They take what their patients say seriously and it shows. I have had chronic migraines since I was a child, and now at 21 the team at Novus has helped me to eliminate those as well as other health concerns. Highly recommend for anyone looking for neurological or psychiatric care in Tuscaloosa, especially UA students.

Dr.Khan and his nurse are absolutely amazing. Dr.Khan has been my psychiatrist for over 8 years and I cannot say enough good things about him.

AMAZING TEAM! I have seen many health professionals and Dr. Presley and his medical staff are one of the best. I love how he explains things to the individuals level and willing to answer questions. As I enjoy getting the time to learn since I study psychology. He is very professional but still human and willing to joke around. I was super impressed with with medical student being able to catch a slight problem in my eye(something most doctors have questioned but never had an answer). TMS was a life changing experience and highly suggest it if someone qualifies for the treatment. Personally, it was not super comfortable for me but the staff helped me through it sharing laughs, tears, and braiding hair.(which meant the world to me) Lastly the convenience of having everything in one building is great. Yeah there might be a wait at times but it’s 100% worth it.

I did the TMS therapy for recurrent depression. I was in a very low place at the beginning of treatment. After treatment I noticed I am sleeping a lot better at night. I actually feel happy again. No more crying or staying in my room. I feel like I can participate in my life again. Thank you Dr. Presley!

Our whole family loves Dr. Prestley and his caring staff. He goes above and beyond to care for his patients and listen to all issues and problems. His nurses and CRNP’s are all wonderful and always take very good care of us. The TMS staff are fantastic and Elizabeth was always great. Thank you to everyone at Novus Neurology and TMS for taking care of us!

First time to practice, being seen for Neurology (Headaches). My appointment was with Justin at 8am by 8:15 he was in the room. He is very observant and attentive, listened to my concerns and gave me some great treatment options. Wish I could give 10 stars
